A motorcycle gas tank holds three gallons for average tank size.

Thanks you much for everyones comments, i managed to upgrade my tank to 3.5 litter tank. Sadly i bent the crank shaft while having the cluch engaged. Though i got a new replacement engine from bike berry.com , i don't think i will be using it anytime soon since i got myself a 2016 kia soul and a motor cycle.

I fabed double 1/8 plate steel 2 pieces, 3 ×6 welded them to the frame and laid some cushiony rubber down. Drilled the stud holes out and cut the excess off. I've tried all sorts of ways with 3 tanks and they all cracked at the welds eventually after a couple hundred miles from viberation with this guys method. Just sayin.

thank you Alot of videos were very helpful for the past week I've been installing the flying horse 80cc and have ran into some issues on my Huffy 18 speed Nigeria mountain bike! the muffler hits the pedal just enough to not pedal so I have to bend it! plus the clutch cable and throttle cable is to long would it still work ok in your opinion? Alot of bikes actually have the cables on the top of the frame. Those need rubbers because they will eventully vibrate through bottom of the tank.

Not bad but what we do is to use 4 sheet metal brackets. Facing each other with the compression force clamping the top tube. The tank stands on the studs and we've never had a leak.

I Install the original upside down on the tank with stand off nuts then I put electrical brackets on the underside. Now all the stress is on the stud threads not the welds

The Teflon tape needs to be rated for gasoline. It should be yellow.

Dean Johnston drill a hole into the top of your tank for your return line. Make sure to seal it up with silicone. Should be fine.

It seems a strange design for the kit stock tank (they all seem identical) that it tapers downward in the back when they almost always slope at such a steep incline mounted on bike frames 7:00. Wouldn't it hold so much more gas, if it was mounted reversed and the cap was on the other side? Or at least if the cap was at the top. idk.

I ran a length of clear, Gorilla double sided tape along the valley of the tank. Seems to help hold it and stops it slipping side to side.

GBodyBoys you can put tank anywhere you want as long as it's somewhere above it. Its gravity fed

Josh Chelvolski nope. The teflon tape is wrapped around and petcock is screwed over it thus creating a seal. I did it to mine and works fine. No leaks yet. Get 62 miles per tank

David Raye just some padding is sufficient for sure. Helps with vibration and stress to tank bolts for sure.
