Originally, I had cut off the rear rack of my Nel Lusso bike to add a friction-drive Lock N' Load unit to the rear. I have since picked up a couple of 80cc 2-stroke engines and am in the process of watching such videos as this one to get some ideas as to how to set it up in the bike. I put caps on each part of the rack to cover the nubs left on the frame. I removed the fenders and am in the process of building the bike in this manner, now. A tip is to use several quick ties around the center to keep an equal distance when putting that hub sprocket into place. It spaces the area out quite evenly and you simply pull the plastic ties out when finished. I did end up putting a better kick stand onto my bike though. It raises the front of the bike up and telescopes, but it is not meant to have someone sit on the bike when it is in use. Only to hold it up well. I had to laugh as I wondered if you were indeed putting the sprocket on backwards. It was hard to see at first when you were filming it. When I got my packages of engines, I thought right away that it may be a mistake problem that is easy to do if you are not careful. :-) I am not fully through in watching your video just yet, as I keep running out to look at my own bike and check things as I do my build. This is my first build although I have ridden motorcycles most of my lifetime (71 years at present). Thanks for posting this video.

@@Steve_Does_Stuff The furnace was removed from the house next door, and I latched on to the plenum, cut it down, supported the bottom with plywood, made a lid, and added small wheels, axle, and tongue - hey, presto! a trailer that can haul lots of groceries, or a tool box and car parts. I used a car outer tie rod end to connect to the hitch on the bike. Swivels side to side, pivots for up and down hill angles - generally satisfactory - and being a recycled (nudge, wink, get it? re CYCLED?) part, very affordable.

nice work on the Install Steve FYI i read on some Forum that the Importers of some of theose kits were getting harassed by Attorneys because many bikes people were putting them on had the Factory Welds coming apart because they were not designed to handle the stress the engines added to the bike i’ve noticed that now many of the Websites that do sell them have more details outlined on the bike styles they reccomend installing. the kits on like yours most of them do reccomend a Cruiser style Frame that are usually larger Tubings which theoretically would mean more surface Weld area not necessarily a stronger or better Weld but i guess that can change amount the Manufacturers the Forum i read mentioned the head Tube breaking off and when I was a kid in the 1970s riding Wheelies and doing Jumps i broke that Weld on 3 different bikes i will testify it’s a Gnarly one to have give out when you are riding as you lose your front wheel and Handle Bars that send you head first into the Ground and back then we did not wear Helmets on Bikes and Staples for Skulls we’re not invented yet so the Hospital trip was a painful and long one

Absolute nubee here...just bought my motor..(zeda 66 80cc Firestorm)..I have mechanic skills and I've owned several motorcycles but this is a first for me...in 3 weeks I'll be ready to put it all together.... only problem is my uncle (80 years old and very fragile ego)....he's insisting you can't put a motor of any kind on a bicycle, that I am acting like a "hotshot know it all mechanic" when I explained to him how I'm ditching rear sprocket rag kit for a 3 bolt sprocket adapter, after break in I'm adding a boost bottle, which he said I'm just making up imaginary parts because he has never heard of such a thing....I'm 55 years old...I want to look back on this as a very pleasant experience, whether it takes me two hours or two days.....so....I'm taking everything to a good friends garage where I will get the supportive and happy environment I need and want to do this right....I know I can accomplish this...but not with an egotistical uncle who cannot admit his younger niece ,who is a "woman" (😨) just may know more than he does....thanks for an understandable and clear video 😀This is going to be fun!

Sheri Plott ,,,. If you watch the videos on Zeda engines,,,. The owner of Zeda not other people using Zeda engines,, Tapp on Zita ,,Goes to his web page there's probably 50 Quick videos you need to watch,,. These are also the motors you want to use 66cc is the best all around it has a Zita rod and a static balance to crank,,,. All engine should be torn down disassembled Lube the crank cylinder walls remove the Rings and lap the Rings with WD-40 and 320 grit sandpaper reinstall them,,. You can likely Port all the holes in The Jug,,,. Widen the intake and exhaust ports slightly,,, use better gasket material,,,. Blue Loctite absolutely every nut and bolt everywhere,,,. Mount everything on cut up pieces of rubber inner tube,,. Harley anyone can adjust the carburetors right the cables alright and especially the clutch lever cables properly,, depending on the bike and the alignment expect to be ordering more parts or making your own parts and going back and forth to the hardware several times,,,. You will probably need a plumbing torch to heat the exhaust up and slightly bend it to get it out of the way of the pedals,,,. You'll probably need a good battery type drill and drill bits for drilling and reaming out holes,, if it's a coaster brake remove the brake lever on the rim and there's a black plastic or rubber cap remove it and the sprocket will fit down on it snuggly tight and aligned perfectly,,, Set the rear wheel closer to the front cut the chain down to where you don't need a tensioner as a chain stretches you can move the rim back,, if you use a tensioner after it set perfectly drill a 1/8 inch hole through the tensioner and just one side of the lower tube frame rail and use a ,,, S 12 self-tapping screw in there to hold the tension straight or ill end up ripping your spokes out,,,. Without a garage and a lot of tools,,. And being extremely mechanically inclined,,,. ??? You've got those that can do it with absolutely no problem,,,. And those that spins months asking questions and for help,,,. !!! You can ask me questions anytime,,,,

ok, hey guess what, all you "boost bottle" freaks out there using them on 2 stroke motors, you're dumbasses, that increases the heat and completeness of the fuel burn, but in 2 stroke motors, if the fuel burns too high, so does the oil added to it !!! the pistons can't maintain an optimal amount of residue for lubrication you fools, you have to do far more frequent breakdown maintenance and the piston walls and rings also take greater wear and tear, needing replacement far sooner (like 5x less life), and to be honest, they give bicycle motors a bad name when users claim that the motor was a piece of shit and not worth the money, so people who were interested see these complaints and either change their minds or go for ebike motors, LOSE THE BOTTLES !!!

While we're being economical and reusing inner tube rubber, if there happens to be a used radiator hose or heater hose from a car kicking around, they are thicker and provide extra cushioning. I haven't tried the rubber mount cushions made for the job.

me too just built engine but had a few problems while installing, engine was too large and carb didnt fit, had to cut intake manifold but now its not level, have to but offset intake manifold but recently when just starting it for the first time while pedaling the chain tensioner got pulled into the spokes and warped the rear wheel, luckily i have new wheels on the way, i strongly suggest a few things, either replace all bolts at hardware store or use loctite, also replace the chain tensioner with a spring loaded one so it has some give and doesnt just get pulled into spokes, and last piece of advice, get an adapter or wheel with a dedicated hub so that way you dont attach sprocket to spokes and weaken the wheel over time

The only problem is, when people build these motorized bikes they do not grease the wheel bearings really good. When these bikes get going 35 mph for a little bit the wheel bearings get really hot, and sometimes locks up the bearings, or the bearings just come apart. Then you have a very bad crash and a trip to the hospital.

It seems that you have experience with this type of bike. I need your help. When I stop the bike, I want it to keep running, but that does not happen. As soon as I stop, the engine stops working.

Can anyone tell me how to shut the bike off? I bought an abull 100cc. It runs but it seems the throttle handle is an electric Start when the engine is a clutch start. The problem I'm having is when I stop. And clutch or pull back the handle rhe engine won't shut off. And I have to use the carburetor adjustment screw to choke the engine. Ugh. Any advice is appreciated. Love this video!!!

Very Nice... So you can use a coaster brake rear wheel and don't need to change it to a freewheel correct. No problems using a coaster brake bicycle with one of these engine kits ?

look at the angle of a gas tank is on the top pipe it is too far down on the front you need it tip back at least 2 degrees at least 2 to 5 degrees so the gasoline runs to the back and you don't suck an air bubble in when you're low on gas

$;18 your kit comes with bolts so you dont have to stack blots on top of each other. you remove the studs and blot that plate directly to the bike.

I have two questions. Why these scrappy gas tanks. Why not a rear tank and rack. And that white wire. Video after video. They don't use them. Does it really effect engine performance. Its only 1.5 bolts. Enough to operate a Headlight.

I'm not gonna lie man I've had 2 of those same exact huffy model and I swear by them. Amazing frames for the engines but if your around 130-165 lbs a 29 inch bike tire will give you 5 mph on your top speed

Heck, you still need to get the timing right for the lightning, just cut out the middle b.s. and go for broke!! I just learned that 1bhp is equal to 0.00000075 GW, therefore you only need 1,622,636.73 hp! That’s only 737,562.15 motors assuming 2.2hp avg!!! Doesn’t alibaba give bulk discounts?🤣🤣😂

I did commercial HVAC for years, so I can say with great confidence that I’m mechanically savvy. It’s now day three and I still can’t get the damn rear sprocket centered!! I’ve tried everything I can imagine to keep it center while slowly tightening in a star pattern and when I’m done it’s off by a lot! I’m honestly ready to throw the motor kit in the trash and take this huffy out to the desert and blow it up!! 😤🤬🤬

I used a socket that fit the center sprocket hole perfectly and then slid the socket down to the rim with the bolt you would use to tighen the tire to the frame with and made sure the socket was centered then got slid the socket down to the spokes and tighten all bolts down. Luckily the threads were long enough to bolt the socket down but it worked perfectly and less stress than using the instructions.

Chinese motorcycle exhaust system restriction is, usually, at the manifold. The exhaust ports are usually fine with a moderate polishing. The gaskets for Chinese engine exhaust manifolds are, nearly always, restrictive.

Hey Steve. Roughly 3 weeks ago i ordered my 80cc engine kit and as of two days ago I completed my project (also with i that 3 weeks of buy tools extra nuts, etc). Well what I'm having a problem with is pedaling my bike (doesn't matter if I'm engaging the clutch or not). While putting together my bike I watched your videos closely. Yet wondering did i do something to make my bike difficult to pedal at all or is that normal?

I was caught by the 75 MPG note in the title .. Had a 175 Honda (twin 4 cycle) which ran always in the 82-84 MPG range ... Also owned a 185 Suziki ( 2 stroke ) which ran a constant 66-67 MPG ... Both are around town mileage ... The 185 was HOT !

I was interesting to see how you make it go 75mph lol ,Nice going I ready have 2 and I'm going to buil more ,I remember wen I buil my first motobike I forget to put lack tie on the screws and found out that all screws tha came from the factory are low quality so for now on I always buy a good quality screws ,lock washers ,wire tides you know how those tins get lose with the bivrations, then to avoid the motor moves saiways I preferred to grained and make the right diameter make new holes and treaded so everithing stay in one peace I prefer a 29"beachcruiser aluminum its hig and light , the muffler won't hit any bum I will like to make a good vide like yours to show the little performances I have learned ,in my channel I show I few sort videos like how to bend the pedal brake etc any ways your video it's so helpful
