Great video! Thank you. Mine are starting to get a bit stiff and need to re-lube them. What is the idea behind using the wd 40 silicone? Im sure most skip that step so curious.

The grease itself is pretty good. The Wd40 decreases the viscosity and decreases the friction even more within the shaft. I’ve tried both and with the WD40 silicone does make them much smoother.

Frabill makes a no freeze grease called Sub-zero.

@@klappy803arctic fires are very underrated and I agree. Properly lubed they spin just like a BD. Sometimes even better.

Been using HT tackle for more than 20 years on this style tip up. Also use Quantum Hot Sauce when I clean and lube my reels.. works really well for ice reels
