The only reason I’m watching this is weights have quadrupled in price under lockdown and I can only afford to buy one of each weight. 😹 Anyone else in the same boat?

@@cjvaye99 yup. Fedex“lost” my weights the first time, that’s how lucrative they were over lockdown - some delivery driver is enjoying those free weights somewhere haha. Suffice to say I won’t be selling my current collection of dumbbells in case there’s another lockdown one day. Everything is rising in price now to be fair.

Funny thing. I remember when I was younger, ppl would always say only go down to 90 degrees. So I did that. I noticed my shoulder was aching more and it didn't feel right. This older man came up to me once and told me to go all the way down. Just like how you guys are doing. Every since I did that, all the aches and pains were gone. Full range of motion needs to be practiced more. If it doesn't hurt, go full range. Ppl do half range cause of time under tension bs lol.

I liked the explanations of what to focus on and what to avoid. I think it'd be helpful if the camera zoomed-out, as we can't see the whole arm during the exercise; e.g., can't see if the wrist turns or not. I think it would also have been helpful to see the full body's form for this, not just to hear it. Thx!

Awesome, thank you for this. I did these in the past and tweaked the left side of my mid back. Nothing major but it was annoying. The glute chenching, ab tightening really addresses how to avoid this. Also, the dumbbell angle was another great cue.

1) use a bench 2) it's correct. the proper angle is 45° 3) maximum tension for shoulder is when the hand makes an 90° angle with the body. lower is useless

What muscles would this work? My assumption is anterior and lateral deltoids primarily and secondary upper traps, abs, maybe teres minor or major 🤔 and seratus anterior? And also the triceps. Am I right?

Put hand on belly or shoulder. You DONT want your free-arm trying to get itself involved. Move it out the way where it can not contribute. Hand on Hip risks you setting up some weird tension-chains to bolster your waist. Also looks sassy. Avoid.
