Hey man! I have a question, if for example I want to make a hype video of a player, where do I find the individual clips of the games? I hope you can answer my question. Great video btw👍🏻
@BeyondTheGame_E4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! 😊 to answer your question, You either film them yourself or you get your hands on the game footage and go through each game looking for the player’s highlights. If you’ve been watching all his games already, you’ll know what happened when. Otherwise you have a lot of research to do.
@BeyondTheGame_E4 жыл бұрын
What sport are you making videos of?
@davo-gd5qy4 жыл бұрын
Beyond the Game TV thanks for responding! That sport I want to do is soccer. So that means I have to watch a full game of a team to get the players highlight?
@BeyondTheGame_E4 жыл бұрын
Yes, pretty much. You can always fast-forward through the game and look mostly at the replays. That’s were all the good content is.
@BeyondTheGame_E4 жыл бұрын
But it depends a lot on the player’s position. If he’s a striker it will be easy to find good slow motion replays of his goals. If he’s a defender, they don’t get many replays unfortunately.
@Josh-mt3ih4 жыл бұрын
My question is where do you get the videos for the editing? Like if I want to make a highlight of a sports game where do I get the full match and be able to download it to trim the video? Or if I want to make edits to a game as it’s going on?
@BeyondTheGame_E4 жыл бұрын
Full games are rarely available online. If that’s what you’re after, you’ll have to record games using some sort of tv recording device.

Cameras these days record everything on SD cards. Just take the card out and put it in the computer. Then you can drag and drop.

I need help! How do you comb through your video clips to find the usable ones for a highlight video😫
@towannaharris24586 жыл бұрын
I’ve been making highlight videos with my iPhone and a gimbal for my daughters basketball games. Today I shot 5 games for a local basketball club and I’m overwhelmed!!!
@BeyondTheGame_E6 жыл бұрын
Haha I feel you! Everyone deals with this differently but for me it’s all about categorizing my footage by putting it in different bins or using Colour labels. Categories can be: close ups, wide shots, best scoring opportunities, etc.
@BeyondTheGame_E6 жыл бұрын
This is actually a good topic for a future tutorial. Thanks for that!
@towannaharris24586 жыл бұрын
I forgot to mention that I just purchased a canon 80d and I’m learning how to use it. Those 5 games from yesterday were using the 80d. I used a different sd card for each team which was helpful. When recording video, can you somehow mark the good ones? Or is there an easier way to delete the bad videos? I pretty much start and stop after each play to minimize editing later. I was planning to save the videos to my phone and use an app to edit them😬, I’m a true rookie 😂
@towannaharris24586 жыл бұрын
When you say categories, I’m guessing that you download all of your videos to your computer and then categorize them? I have about 300 clips per game and have no idea of which ones are “useable”. There’s got to be an easier way!

how do i find different angles?
@BeyondTheGame_E5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure I understand your question. Do you film your own content? If so, just move around to get different perspectives. And also film wide shots and close-ups of the same things so that you can cut from one to the other in post.

How do angle the shots
@BeyondTheGame_E5 жыл бұрын
If you're cutting, the angle doesn't really matter. If you're doing dissolves, try to angle your shots (wide & close) so that you leave empty space on at least a third of your frame. That way they will compliment each other well during the dissolve if each shot is slowly filling the empty space of the other one.
