I have the ARB on my defender, the one with the bullbars. And also have the rear NAS bumper. I also have First Four rocksliders.

Thank you- that was quite the adventure with your front bumper- but worth it to get what you need and want. Yes custom build would great but can be costly.

On my 1965 unimog 404 I have a really nice stock bumper and front slideplate. With the portal axles it has alot of ground clearance. 45cm under diffs and 59cm under the chassis.

Sounds good! Portal axles is a dream!!!

If anyone wants a standard look bumper, a military/Mantec bumper looks stock, but is about twice the thickness of the normal defender bumper.

@offtrackfamily4 жыл бұрын
Oui ils sont top! Les notres nous les avons achetés directement à l'entrepos paddock en angleterre à notre retour d'Ecosse et nous les avons rapportés dans la tente de toit, car nous n'avions pas le temps de les monter sur place:-D

Many thanks for your great video! I'm going to order an ARB bumper too! Did you had some trouble installing the Superwinch? Would you suggest it as a winch? Thanks
@offtrackfamily4 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! Great for the ARB bumper we can only recommend it same goes for the superwinch, have it for 6 or 7 years and wouldn't go for another one. Talking about the installation, no particular issues except the weight. So the help of friends was greatly welcome.

Hi, I will appreciate more details about your rear bumper: material, weight, paint, towing rate, etc
@offtrackfamily4 жыл бұрын
Hi! The rear number is the original LAND ROVER NAS bumber. Made of steel and it depends of your country for the TUV and MOT but you have the maximum towing rate with this bumper!

Hi, I plan to install the same winch as you on my ARB Deluxe Bull Bar bumper and I would like to know if during the installation of the superwinch you rotate (clocking) the clutch to have the clutch more accessible or the default position is good enough ? Thanks.
@offtrackfamily2 жыл бұрын
Hi thanks for the message, yes the clutch was rotated when installing the bumper.
@partiexplorer2 жыл бұрын
@@offtrackfamily Thanks, I received my winch and I don't see any documentation about the clutch rotation of the Superwinch Talon 12.5SR. I found clutch rotation documentation for other model but not for that one. Maybe I am pushing my luck but by any mean, do you have pictures or small clip on how you did it ? I don't want to void the warranty. I send a message to the Superwinch company but they did no reply yet.

why do you have an amber light installed on your roof mount ? is this required in CH if you off-road ?
@offtrackfamily4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message. No it isn't required for off-road, it's for when towing another vehicle on the road.

Hi Emeline, I searched your other videos, and unless I missed it, have you ever considered installing sound proofing on the underside of the bonnet. It acts as a large sound amplifier. Is it possible to install a heat resistant mat? Or is it not recommended? Would love to hear your view.
@offtrackfamily4 жыл бұрын
Hi! No we didn't install sound proofing. We don't think that's it really necessary. Defender is already noisy so we don't think soundproofing the bonnet will change a lot and you will add weight for a little result. If you really want to install it I think that a brand like dynamat is good.
