Hi Offtrack-family, If you want to buy a table some day, i would recommend a table with 4 adjustable feet. And buy some comfortable seats also if you are in the store (try them out before buying and watch out that they're not too bulky). Best Regards, David

I saw your setup and it looks fab. I have a VW Caravelle also which we use locally so I can use the portable generator for both vehicles which is practical. Got a James Baroud explorer evo with his Falcon 270 awning. I had a Autohome before on my Amazon but changed over this time . No regrets!! Love James Baroud gear.

Hello from Malaga-Spain. I really enjoy your videos, but I would like to comment on something about this in particular: the sling with the shackles is very good as a basic equipment, two cars. If you go alone, it is useless, unless you have a winch like you. So if we travel alone out of the way, we need a winch, tractel, or any other self-rescue system. Greetings and thank you very much for your videos.
@offtrackfamily3 жыл бұрын
Hi, thanks for your message! I meet your point here but even for solo overlanders as a very basic & minimal recovery gear it can help. Not to pull its own vehicle if solo but something heavy blocking the track, a fallen tree for example. A winch simplifies solo recovery or helps to make it easier for the tree situation but it's already the next level. This is why we also recommend good traction boards & a shovel.

@@offtrackfamily Hello. You're right. Not just for self-rescue. The sling, as you say, can be used to move any obstacle that interrupts our step. Greetings.

Love your Defender. I got a 2016 110 which I am nearly finished modifying. I have most of what you have done but plan to get a portable generator rather than having all the electrics in the vehicle. I have twin boys and worry about the risks of having too much wiring. Would welcome your thoughts and advice. Thank you.
@offtrackfamily3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your message! A portable generator can be alternative but if you do a good installation you shouldn't have any visible cables accessible to the children. With our setup we managed to keep most of the electric intall behind the back seats. It's a huge work & security is of course very important especially with kids around. If you feel like the generator is the best solution for you, test it, it's only by experiencing that you'll find out :)
