@christine113472 жыл бұрын
It's amazing what happens when we communicate our boundaries to others and we can all be on the same page. Even with gossiping when we tell people we choose not to engage with gossiping they either change the topic or move on and continue it with someone else. Either way we let them know our position and they know where we stand. A win win for us. 💪💪

So True, my narcissistic ex was a huge Energy Vampire. Keeping me up all night in rages knowing I had work the next day. I was exhausted, every part of my life was suffering. After leaving and blocking my narcissistic ex I now get a great night's sleep and the rest of my life is full of so much more joy. It is literally a huge weight off, I feel I can breath again. They will not be happy until you are just an empty shell. Wonderful advice Andrew, you are truly a bright light. Much love 👍🙏

@@treelover1050 Thank you for your kind support. Sleep deprevation was one of his favourite tools. He would then sleep and rest up all day ready to start it all again when I got in later that day from work. Wanting his dinner the second I walked in the door after he'd been on his ass all day resting up was his favourite way to get the nights rage up and firing. After losing his licence drunk driving several times, he then took a night job which would involve me driving him around half the night. Again he would rest up all during the day while I worked. He even told me that I didn't actually need sleep at all, it was just a myth. It was my awful attitude towards helping him that was making me tired. Sleep deprevation was a great method to keep me exhausted and submissive. It took two years but I have now removed all his controls over me, and he had a huge bag of them to choose from. I bet many on this channel have experienced this. The longer you stay the more damaged you become, the more damaged you become the harder it is to leave... Don't stay to long... Much love🙏🤗

Best disguise for a full blown narc must be the white doctor's coat . I met a senior physician, a psychiatrist and married him way too quickly. Of course. 4 years later I found myself totally deprived of everything. My house gone, my daughter gone, my money gone, my network gone. My job gone. Was on sick leave for two years, on antidepressives. It took me 10!! Years to come back. I wish I hade found this kind of help back then, in 2009, but I am literally consuming all your videos now. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Andrew. Thanks for all the hours you have been educating yourself before passing everything forward. 🌴🌼🙏

I spent 26 years working as a school psychologist in a public school setting. It sucked every ounce of life out of me possible. I left to take care of my mom before she died and never went back. Now I work 5 days a week in the evening as a nanny to my two foster nieces whose parents own a restaurant and need to work at night. That change has given me life back. I spend days with my pets, reading and doing other things that I enjoy and I spend my evenings with two little girls that I love. Hardly seems like work. My life now seems like a peaceful vacation after 26 years in an absolutely toxic environment.

Yessss!! Thanks to your videos I can spot a narcissist and now I know it is ok to have boundaries!!! I tested this today…..since I’ve been back to US I met a good looking guy in passing (before I started watching your videos and learning) we exchanged numbers and this guy has been coming in HOT(fast) and little did he know I am in the middle of learning/growth time. I have never hung out with him one on one we bump into each other in public settings…today he called me and said “come over to my place” after I told him I am going to the park with my dog. I politely told him “no thank you” the dude asked “WHY?”😂😂😂😂omg I said “because I’m doing exactly what I want to do, your free to meet me at the public park” he said (drum roll please) “come over after the park” I said “no” of course he still tried to push my no to a yes….I would not budge he ended the convo with “well Kim keep in touch” LOL delete number and a silent nah I’m good! Life is to precious and there are to many good people in the world for me to ever give my energy or time to, even a suspected narc!!! Today get to celebrate my healing/wins💪🙏🌞🐶

This message is so true and very important. In today's day we have Narcs, controllers, time burglars, energy vampires, jealousy, businesses operated by Narcs, distractions over social media, internet - there are a million ways to steal our energy and it only works if we allow it. It's one of those things that was just not really highlighted enough trough traditional education. Thank you
@christine113472 жыл бұрын
So 💯 true Mark it all comes down to what we are willing to tolerate. Once we effectively communicate our boundaries to another if they choose to ignore them then it's best to walk away. We all deserve to be around people that bring us peace and happiness. Communicating our boundaries even it is just saying No is key to making sure we are all on the same page before assuming something that may be completely wrong or misinterpreted.

THE most drained I've ever been. Not only did I physically build a house, but also a business with the narcissist. It was a romantic relationship and a working one. Literally double jeopardy, and having to raise and support my daughter from an entire state away for nearly 13 years. I'm not sure how I survived. The only explanation is the empath supernova occurrence that finally put everything to an end. I wonder so often after the education and awareness and boundary building what could have been if I never invested all my energy in the relationship what would have been. Looking good Andrew! @christine113472 жыл бұрын
Kaz just try saying it to people there is nothing wrong with saying No or sorry I'm busy. Most people will understand and respect your boundaries. In turn it will empower you to say no and help you build your self confidence. The night the Nex left I said to him why didn't you just leave instead of lieing and cheating with these multiple women behind my back and his answer was because I didn't want to hurt your feelings. I didn't know how to say I wanted to leave. I said really so you felt it was better to destroy, pulverize and humiliate me and my feelings instead. He just sat there speechless because he knew it was never about my feelings it was just about his own. He was trying to play the innocent victim instead of facing the fact that he got caught and now had to own up to it. If he would have just said he wasn't happy and wanted out I would have gladly obliged. No one wants to be with someone that doesn't want to be in a reciprocal relationship with them no matter what that relationship is romantic, friendship, business. When we do things because we feel we have to instead of because we want to no one benefits. Good luck. Put one boundary in place at a time. People are actually a lot stronger than you think. If you say no to them they will just move on until they find someone that will say yes. People can only take advantage of us if we let them. Sending you prayers of strength and peace. God bless 🙏💪🕊️✨

@@christine11347 thank you for your advice you have made me think seriously about a friendship I am in that I I’m sure he is only keeping in touch because he doesn’t want to hurt my feelings or let me down. He smothered me with affection and promises of “gifts” that didn’t materialise. And now he’s just “too busy” to talk as often as we used to. I think he just wants my friendship to boost his ego, as he’s always sending photos of when he’s out socialising. And telling me about his upcoming holidays and what he’s recently purchased/spent on himself or his home etc. We never see each other, we live miles apart, but we started out as having a special bond/best friends ( as I thought !! )that could tell each other anything and turn to if we needed emotional support etc. But that seems to have fizzled out now. So now I feel I don’t want to contact him because I feel our friendship doesn’t mean to him what it means to me anymore, so what’s the point 🤷♀️ I’m sad to lose what I thought was a true and sincere friend who really cared, one who said he would always be there for me and always at the end of the phone. Well I can’t phone him because it is always to inconvenient for him. If I text him he rarely responds. So I am now backing right off of this friendship because it’s only hurting me 😢 Love and all best wishes to you Christine ♥️🌸🌼🙏

My prayer for this beautiful community of loving empaths is that you don't let this abuse and trauma leave you so damaged and bitter that you forget what made you you. Through education from Andrew's videos and many others we know now that people pleasing, low boundaries and codependency is what got us into this mess with the Narcs. It shook our faith in people and left us fighting for our lives spiritually, physically and mentally. It depleted our energy. We have learned that No is a sentence in and of itself and that boundaries prevent our energy from being sucked out of us. People pleasing leaves us feeling depleted and does not benefit us. With that being said though there is a difference between people pleasing and being a people person. It's important to remember in a world of sadness, despair and hate we as empaths are the voice of kindness, love and mercy. We were isolated by the Narcs for so long that it crushed us. I know for myself I never want to live like that again. Being cut off from the world and people is a lonely place to exist in. I'm no longer a people pleaser, but I will forever be a people person. That's the beauty and blessing of being an empath. Being able to connect with peoples emotions on a deeper level. To celebrate their joys and pain. Post recovery when I'm out now I say hello to everyone I pass and a lot of times people just look at first surprised and smile and then say it right back. If they don't want to say it back that's fine no pressure or judgment, but for the most part people are so happy because they just want to be seen. I just saw my neighbor after a week of being away and he just lit up that we were home because he missed our good morning hellos. This is what is healthy and beautiful and energizing. Post recovery this is what life is about. Similarly if you get a text or an email that someone took the time to share something with you that was important to them it's just common courtesy to reply. It doesn't have to be right away, but this is how the world communicates now. We always talk on this channel about how the Narcs ghosted us and gave us the silent treatment and how damaging that was and made us question ourselves and feel less then. So why post recovery would we want to do that to anyone else. Even if you put a boundary up and replied by saying don't email me anymore the person would know where they stood and they wouldn't bother you again. Communication is key in understanding other people's boundaries and can help us all avoid many misunderstandings. Always stay true to who you are and do whatever works for you, but don't feel like you can never love again or trust again because of your battle scars and the sins of the Nex relationship. They are the past. On this Divine Mercy Sunday it is a reminder that Jesus died for each of us to show us and teach us his Mercy, so that we could in turn show Mercy to others. Especially those in need. It's like Andrew, he built this channel to show Mercy and kindness to others who are in need to remind others they are not alone. Over the last six months I have seen him do videos when he was sick or going through his own stuff, but not once did he not show up for this community. It's a testament to his dedication to being there for others in need and a choice he made to help others. The Nex's took so much of our energy and life, but now it's our time to take it back. There are so many good people out there. We have to be safe but we also would be doing ourselves a huge disservice if we think everyone has an agenda. Keep your walls high but not so high that you shut everyone else out. Stay blessed and loving. We were victims, but we survived and in time we will all thrive. That is the legacy of the Narc relationship that we can be proud of and share with others. If we let the Narc change our hearts and souls forever then we let them win and I refuse to do that. God gave us all a second chance and it is up to us to do with it what works for us. None of this is easy, but when we can all find a healthy balance in life we will all come out on the other side stronger and wiser. 🙏✨💪🕊️💛

@@alicewonderland585 Thank you. 💛 Self respect is first and foremost, but when we use that as a reason to justify disrespecting others who may just be trying to show us kindness what does that say about us. We are all so used to being abused that when authenticity is standing right in front our face we often chose to ignore it because we question people's motives. It's a horrible side effect of this abuse and one no one really talks about or acknowledges. It's sad and this is why taking time to heal properly is so important. Bringing this type of baggage into a new potential relationship will set it up for failure before it even has a chance to begin.

Powerful statement Christine! I agree with you......and the line for me..."I'm no longer a people pleaser but I'm a people person". It is so important to be able to see the difference. And with it being Divine Mercy Sunday - that's when God doesn't come to judge us, no sin is too much, for Him not to show us mercy. We are called to show mercy too! Don't let our past experience define us. It's important to maintain our boundaries and be cautious but don't let that stop us from experiencing the good things in life that are there as well. We've been conditioned and have learned the hard way.....some people come with agendas to hurt and destroy - test the waters before making that final judgement........otherwise we might end up isolating ourselves from the truly wonderful things and people, that life has to offer. God bless us all. 🙏💪💜😊🌺

If we allow some people to take our energy and take advantage of us, they will do so, but we don’t have to allow-it, right! And the truth is that sometimes we really have to discern if someone that we talk to is a narcissist. Narcissists due tend to take everything so personally, because underneath their grandiose bravado lurks profound self-loathing-they need to be the constant external praise. Their fuel is admiration, and they need others to reflect their magnificence because they truly don't feel it themselves.

As soon as your attention goes in the narsasitic direction, think of someone you love to do that makes you happy. This way you will train yourself to disconnect with their energy. You are spot on! In an intensive season of learning, breaking dysfunctional cycles and applying boundaries. Feeling responsible to meet others' needs (including not hurting their feelings) might have been our full-time jobs, full-time relational roles and even positions in volunteer realms, but once we become educated and aware, it is a greater responsibility to no longer feed the dysfunction. It is not our job to enable others to remain energy thieves. It is difficult to change, but it was more painful to live the consequences of poor boundaries and that's why I'm listening! Thank you so much. This channel isn't about just identifying the narcissist, but so much more educational. Thanking God.

Agreed once we are lucky enough to leave the narscistic relationship it's like we need to be educated on how to live a healthy life since we lived an unhealthy one for so long. You are so spot on. Every person is different for sure. I was raised in the Nazarene Church and as an adult I am very spiritually in touch with my Lord. My Narc used my faith against me. Forgive as I am forgiven. However my faith is what kept my light bright. I did stand up for myself, to no avail. He turned that right against me and massive love bombing would happen. Such as saying "His dream was us renewing our wedding vows on a cruise and have the Captain officiate." All the wonderful things he wanted for us, and he was emphatic about it. As in one of your videos you mentioned we just wanted to be loved, he knew exactly how to get me past a discretion. It of course didn't last, but mt faith in God to protect me was pretty strong. Never as strong as how my prayers help me up after he made the ultimate choice. My lightwork had never been so freely given than it is now. I don't need shades per se, but people that run into me do!
@christine113472 жыл бұрын
When we walk in faith and not fear God will always keep us on the right path. The Nex wanted to renew our vows at 25 years I always said hell no that's my parole date. Thankfully God released me sooner for good behavior because I probably would have been dead if I had to serve out my full sentence.

Sitting here in the freight room at Bootbarn having my break and then you made me giggle with your facial expressions describing how you might feel after having someone "just drift your way mysteriously" and engage in a 20 minute draining conversation that was one-sided and made no sense whatsoever!! LOL You also gave some great suggestions on how to politely turn down invitations to engage in energy sapping conversations or invitations to spend time doing things we really don't have time for. I had a co-worker ask me to buy him lunch recently and he promised to pay me back in a few days. Fast forward 2 weeks and he still never paid me back but he had the nerve to ask me again to buy him lunch. I just looked him straight in the eyes and replied..." you never paid me back from 2 weeks ago, so NO!!" It felt so good setting boundaries and not allowing myself to be taken advantage of. 😁 thanks for making my day fun. Loved the content!

after running on adrenaline for so long because of the constant fight or flight or fawn response to the narc-stress over an extended period of time, rest is literally life saving. you are still in there - tired but not destroyed. give it time, months and years. i did not want to know this way back then, but it is what it is. energy needs time to return. the boundary advice in this video is so on point! do not waste valuable healing energy on any people or situations who now trigger you or drain you. it is so liberating to remain cordial but distant. (truth be told: more forceful withdrawal when necessary is also exhiliratingly energising ...)

Lending money never ends well. For anyone that has difficulty saying NO in this area I would definitely watch the Netflix Documentary the Tinder Swindler. After watching that movie I would never lend anyone a dollar. It's one thing if you want to give money at your own free will but if you loan it with the expectation that you may want it back in the future it's not going to happen 99 percent of the time. It's definitely a lender beware situation and without a contract there is no legal recourse and you are out of luck and your hard earned money.

I became conscious as he was going in for the 2nd attack, and I remembered to sing HU. He felt the HU and immediately backed off. The HU - God is on many YT channels. The earfones technique I use each time I leave the house and when I'm out and about in public and I also deliberately use brightly coloured ones to avoid them being missed. Although I'm not listening to anything, I have pretended to be on the telephone if anyone disturbs me. I don't really have anyone anymore in my life who asks to loan money and in recent past, I've just given it to them to save grief and if they come asking again, I explain that I'm not the Bank Of England and not to ask again. If any family members ask for money I give it to them because if they are so broke I figure they can't afford to pay back and need that help and not a loan. Stay blessed.

This is how it starts. Then they oftem go on to other resources. ["s indicate your descriptions.]

As the child of narcissistic parents, I have been the nuisance on the plane. I have done all the rude things. I am sorry. My life could have been so much easier had I known about narcissistic abuse 30, 40, or even 50 years ago, but I did not. The only thing I knew was break chain-get that. Isolation had made me the perfect projection. As long as I appear the worst narcissist, others can shrug and say, “I don’t know what is wrong with her, she hit her head really hard that one time....” It’s sick and sad that the children of narcs carry the burden of their parents abuse. I hope that people will keep that in mind while dealing with the emotionally abused. I realize that it might be difficult or even impossible.
