the tam is wool for a reason , it helps your locks mature , putting the drug under defats the point of wearing tam

My locs don't need help maturing. They did that on their own. And there are many reasons to wear a tam i.e. to not have your locs exposed to the elements.

Good morning Sebs!!! Thanks for the nice video! I must say that I used the satin bonnet undearneath my hats as well, but when wearing a tam, I do not like the bump caused by the ruffle (I am part of the #DespiseTheRuffleTeam) so my solution to circumvent this was to tie a satin scarf on top of it to flatten it as much as possible... if you don't mindhaving three layers on your head :P

Naomi Manzana Good afternoon! That's interesting that you get a bump. You see I didn't get one. Maybe it depends on the type of tam. And yeah, my sensitive head most likely couldn't take three layers. A headache would certainly ensue lol

I want to grow my hair but one I sweat a lot especially because I'm trying to lose weight and two I just naturally sweat a lot so I wanted to know some tips and tricks when first starting out my locs. I also have wavy/curly hair so I was always afraid them not staying together in the beginning. lastly can I wear hats with starter locs because I don't like to early stages so I'd rather wear hats until they grow

I would say that when you're working out, you should wear a bandana. That's what I use to absorb the sweat and I work out 6-7 times a week. I have a video on this. That's the only time I wear those bandanas though because that material is not the best for your locs but it is good for absorption. Because your hair is wavy, it might take longer to loc up but it will do so eventually. It might even come out a few times, depending on the method used to start your locs. Your loctician should know the best method to use to get your locs started the right way based on your texture and curl pattern. Yeah, you can wear hat initially. I would wear a du-rag or silk scarf under the hat because the rough texture of the hat can dry out and thin out your starter locs. Try not to wear hats too much though.
