I've looked at at least a half dozen intros to moding in TTS. This is by far the best. Presentation is properly paced for learning. Examples are clear. The choice of topics covered is excellent. Highly recommended! Bravo!

Thanks for this clear video ! This is the best I have found so far ! :) Would you mind doing another one explaining how to play the game ? Like adding a timer if possible, or a countdown, preparing sets or making things disappear during the game (like token we put back in a box for example).. or adding a new rule during the game ? Thanks a lot ! and take care :)
@LudoLodge
@LudoLodge 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll add implementing a timer to my list of possible videos. Making things disappear in the game is as easy as selecting them and hitting delete/backspace on your keyboard (or right-clicking the object and selecting delete). Note that only the host can typically delete components; for other players to have that capability you need to promote them by clicking their player name in the top-right corner and selecting Promote.

I just found your TTS video series as I'm looking into prototyping, and this seems like a great option. However, I am collaborating on my design and was wondering if it is possible for two folks who have TTS/Steam to work on creating/reworking components within the same game, either at different times or simultaneously. Any wisdom to share on this? Thanks for the great videos!

I came here curious about the limitations of Tabletop Sim, to weigh the pros and cons of making something custom in a game engine versus setting up a module in Tabletop Sim. Can I control what is visible to the other players, who has the ability to move and control certain physics objects, and precise coordinates/weights of objects in real time?

I know this is late but I also was having problems and I figured out that apparently if you export something as CMYK it just doesn't work so you have to export in RGB idk why but it works when you do it like that. I hope that clears some problems for you or any future people

Great video, thanks ! I started prototyping on TTS thanks to this video... I have one issue with this pipeline though : when I want to get my friends to try my games I need to upload everything on the cloud, making it a hassle to update the assets afterwards. Is there a way to keep all the assets linked locally yet invite people to my games to try them ?

Hi there! Thank you so much for this video! I'm trying to build out our first game in TTS and this is super helpful! I was wondering if you could let me know what the name was for the program you mentioned using for laying out your cards in (and if there is a link to where to find it)? It sounded like you said "Nyan Deck" or something like that... but I couldn't find anything when trying to do a Google search for it, so I'm thinking I may have misheard that.

You don't have to make your mods public if you don't want to, but any game you create is technically your intellectual property. I wouldn't sweat it, the board game industry is mostly filled with friendly folks and "stealing of ideas" is pretty much a non-issue. :)
