Thank you for this video. This spring is the first year that I am trying to prune to thin out the branches in the middle. I have so many thin small branches and was afraid to prune it so bare. I'd love to see a follow up video in a few months to see how they've filled out.

This is wonderful info! How old is this bush? I planted my first two Little Lime hydrangeas just this year, and I'm nervous to prune back already, I want their woody growth to be strong (and taller). They were originally I think a one gallon pot, probably 2' in height at most. I plan to prune the very tips (extra branchy stuff) but not the main branches just yet, unless they're dead. Am I on the right track?

To help with the upward, more vertical growth of these plants, is that why you take a lot of the branches down to the ground? I have found that my Little Limes this year had lots of lower branching that went more horizontal as opposed to vertical.

Hi, I planted my little limes in The summer and all the Branches were thin and the flowers were so big they made the Branches fall over, now that winter's approaching should I cut the Branches down all the way?

Yes, gosh they can be fussy sometimes. I have some pink/blue hydrangea plants that we had as decor at our wedding and they are for some reason THE MOST DIFFICULT SHRUBS EVER. So now I stick to my easy-peasy limelight and incrediball 🤷‍♀️

Thanks a lot. You might consider rather than speeding up the entire portions were you show cutting at least show one segment or 3 to 4 seconds of you cutting close up to show detail and how you actually make the cut and at what level. Otherwise this was very helpful to me.
