Thanks for your informative presentation. Enjoyed that you confirmed that my recent pruning was not homicide on the plant!

Some people get really aggressive and the plants look like a stem with a couple leaves but have giant fruits. I like to meet in the middle in case I need to trim leaves for other reasons like disease so there are plenty left. Got some big ones on my vines!

I’m container planting and I love pruning. I really came here to see the lightening bugs. I haven’t seen those in years

I have no shortage of lightning bugs. My property flashes everywhere. Super cool to watch

The little 3" cucumber that was soft and stopped growing probably never got fertilized by a male plant. Happens sometimes, no bees or no male plant at the same time the female plant opened up is how it missed the window to get fertilized. Thankyou for the video, you showed us nicely how to prune.

That is true. My flowers are open in the morning when I'm not home or else I would be helping them. The bees do a decent job but miss a few

I always think if I take the big leaves off that the plant will have a tough time with to much sun....but airflow is also important

I live in the south. It is sunny, hot and humid. I don't want my plants to burn up, so I don't cut too many of the large leaves.

I water my zucchini morning & night. It's so hot & dry. We've gotten 5 so far. Few squash bugs What's your solution to get rid of those?
@FastGardeningMichigan2 жыл бұрын
I have been manually removing them and their eggs. Miss one day and they replenish! I'm about to start using diamataceous earth even though I was trying to be 100% natural

What is the percentage of leaves do you remove
@FastGardeningMichigan2 жыл бұрын
Really isn't a percentage. It's never a lot. Just dead leaves and any that are crowded. If you have plants close together and their leaves are touching, pick one from one plant and remove it. If unsure, less is more and they'll do fine. Near the base new leaves are forming and will replace the ones we remove
