Great job. Looks like SOL is now support directly support on the Nano X. In Canada there are a number of Dexes to buy SOL. Personally, I use NDAX. But Newton is good too.

Great Video Sir, I have a couple of question. 1. How safe is it to Stake Solana i.e. do they stay in your wallet or the validators? If on validators, then I guess you have to be worried about rug pulls? 2. What if a validator mining rig collapses or he/she dies? Would that mean we would have then lost all our Solana for good?

I don't think so, liquid staking is provided by a limited number of protocols, StaFi as you mentioned is the 1st to find a liquidity solution.

The presentation is outstanding. Crypto Dad gets a thumbs up. However, I want someone to tell me, if I stake $500 @$8% apy = $44/year. WHY IN THE HELL WOULD I WANT TO GO THROUGH THAT HASSLE? If I stake $20,000 @ 8% = $1600/year. Then, I have to use more than one validator and have to constantly be monitoring my asset. The $1600 apy is under IDEAL conditions. I doubt I want anyone holding my $20K for a promise of receiving $1600 in a year or so. This is reminiscent of a bank. They use your solana, take a fee for using it and you can't take out the asset for entire year, then you have to wait two days. With $20,000 USD in Solana I'm guessing one would have to use at least five different validators. Hell with that. I'm into crypto so I don't have to deal with this nonsense. I think it would be easier to put the $20K in Celcius, get 8.8% compounded interest and you can remove your asset whenever you feel like it.

That’s right. They can be seen in the interface, and you can see the amount, but ledger live doesn’t support pricing information for those particular tokens at this time. It’s simply a pricing issue

Are there any particular Reasons why the Latest LEDGER LIVE 2.33.1 will not update? Screen just says updating and its been like that for a VERY long time seems it has a lock or will not complete download? I have never had the issue before? Please Help

Depending on the version that you’re currently running, the in-app update will not work. You should quit Ledger live completely, and then go to the ledger.com website and download the latest installer. www.ledger.com/ledger-live Once you have downloaded the installer you can run it from your hard drive and it will allow you to update. After you’re done running the installer, just launch Ledger live and it should be running the latest version now.

Hello ! Once my SOL are being staked on Solflare, if I delete the app on the Ledger S in order to free up space for other apps, what happens to the staked SOL ? Correct me if I'm misunderstanding but this just moves the SOL from his Coinbase wallet to the Solflare wallet. It doesn't move it to the Ledger / Blockchain

The Sol, it’s not “in” the Solflare wallet, it is stored on the Solana blockchain. The Solflare wallet is simply an interface which allows us to view the public information of the Solana address. However, the private key for the wallet is in fact stored on the ledger device. The private key of the wallet allows us access to the Solana that is stored at that blockchain address.

It’s basically a coding issue with the Solana Blockchain. The code is too complicated for the ledger to recognize and deal with. That is why we have to enable blind signing.
