Hi CryptoDad - I am trying to unstake my SOL which has been staked and managed within Solflare Wallet for the last year or so and after 24 hours it says my SOL is now unstaked ...but heres the problem: I cannot find any RECIEVE/SEND options to get my SOL transferred back to my Ledger account! It seems stuck in Solflare with the only option restaking! Help!

@@BluesLicks101 I believe there’s an un bonding period. I thought it was 21 days but someone else let me know it’s only a few days. perhaps now that it’s unstaked you just need to wait for it to fully unbond. Also, maybe just back out to the main part of the wallet out of the staking interface. Maybe quit the Wallet​ and re-launch it so that you’re at the home screen and there you’ll have the send and receive options. But like I said, you may need to wait a couple of days.

Here's a question! using the mobile app, attempting to only unstake (example ) half of my Solana in order to have access to swap. I've only been able to figure out how to Unstake the whole amount. My thinking based on your video would be to just create an addition wallet on Solflare and just restake half, which would leave the other half staked!! And yes, I enjoyed your video much

So just to double check... is it possible with Ledger (Nano S plus) and Ledger Live to protect Solana coins like $GIGA (GigaChad), $POPCAT, $RETARDIO, $LOCKIN, $MINI, $USA? These coins are NOT listed on the Ledger website as supported coins.

The wallet is protected by the ledger device. Solflare and Phantom are both good wallets. I don't think anyone's opinion makes it either less or more "safe"

Thanks Rex. I actually ran into a problem over the weekend. My ledger live app had to be reinstalled and after adding back in my cardano and xrp, it wouldn't let me add back the Solana. It took from Friday until this morning before I could do it. I'm still missing my erc20 tokens even though I added the eth account, It doesn't show my quant. Any ideas?

Strange, I did the same thing. I had to re install my ledger live as well. When I re installed, my Sol is no longer showing in there 🤔

Had a little trouble myself the other day as well. It wouldn't allow me to add a Solana account. Working today. must have been a sync issue. Might be the same thing with your Ethereum account. transaction volumes have been pretty high lately what with the volatility in the market. Any erc20 tokens that you were managing before will eventually show back up again. You can always connect your device to metamask and manually add coins. @@CryptoDad what's going to happen in the bull market when the demands increase dramatically. Especially like when everyone is trying to take profits at key levels. Do I really need to write down every individual wallet address for every account on the ledger? What if in the future one of the coins just doesn't show up? I emailed them on Friday and they haven't responded yet. It's scary and disappointing and I'm moving the Solana onto phantom or metamask. We'll see what happens with the quant. It wasn't that much. Or... Should I just kind of expect things like this to happen from time to time. My computer skills are terrible. It's been super hard for me to get the coins I have and retain. Thanks for everything you do. I've always thought your channel is highly underrated. You've probably helped me over the years more than any other single KZbinr. You're going to get slammed here shortly. 🙂

I know it's scary when a coin doesn't show up in the interface. But that doesn't mean that it's not there. It just means it's temporarily not displaying. You never really lose your crypto if it's stored using a hardware device. Of course it could be a problem when you need to access the coin for trading or transfer. But you do have other options for managing Solana, Ethereum and the various sub tokens. As you mentioned, you can use MetaMask to manage your Ethereum, polygon, avalanche or Binance Smart Chain etc. And you can use Solflare to manage your Solana and you can use Core wallet to manage your AVAX. So there are options here. You can also get a different hardware wallet and restore your 24 word seed phrase. But keep in mind I still believe the Ledger device to be one of the most useful and versatile hardware devices out there. Just because ledger live can be a bit glitchy, does not mean that the device is useless. In fact several hardware wallets don't even have their own software. They only work with 3rd party software. So yes, it can be scary and you'll have to learn to be flexible. I found that adversity can be a great teacher. Painful when you're in it, but you'll look back on your challenges with pride and relief once you're on the other side of it.

Did you see the video? He secures it with the ledger. Never use Solflare as a hot wallet. Always protect with a cold wallet like safepal or ledger
