How to: Purl 2 Together (p2tog)

How to purl two stitches together. Abbreviated as p2tog.

If Row 2 says "Purl", it just means to purl every stitch on that row, one at a time.

Hi, I'm working on a hat for my sister's birthday. And in the directions it says, "To shape top of hat: ROW 1 - Knit 3 sts. , then k3tog. Start again, and continue through row ROW 2 - Purl " When in says "Purl" for the second row - do I just pearl the entire row, or do I purl 3 then p3tog? THANK YOU!
