Thanks for teaching girth and half hitches. Too many tree service companies forget the little things.

You should do a video on the 4 inch tie in system for going up small stuff.

Thank you very helpful. I recently had rain on a camping trip and notices another campsite staying dry with a tarp stretched over their campsite that was tied high up on the trees and it boggled my mind how they got their ropes up so high. Now I know.

So how do wrap that rope around the tree?

Best way to tie the rope off for a winch?
@mrgoodtimes052 жыл бұрын
Seems that loop knot tying the weight on would be the least of concerns compared to the line your pulling through
@BogBones Жыл бұрын
Negative. The line runs through everything easy enough, it’s the loop that ends up getting caught on suckers, water sprouts, and depending on the tree.. bark.
@vicvic76782 жыл бұрын
Hi, How thick is the rope you tied this weight to ?
@AMC-eq3jr2 жыл бұрын
Looks like arborist rope close to 12mm or 1/2 inch.

Can I used paracord for throwing line instead of nylon
@yawningdog98944 жыл бұрын
Paracord is made of nylon but yes you can use it as a throw line but its a bit heavyer than a proper throw line i use 80lbs fishing line its a bit thin but it works well and for my throw weight i got a 30mm steel ball bearing and tied a monkeys fist around it with type 2 paracord just as good as a throw bag but much cheaper
@Mustang_Dan3 жыл бұрын
@@yawningdog9894 actually I think your fishing line and monkey’s fist + ball bearing sounds better than some setups lol.

I like to think that just prior to this video, a 10 year old asked this guy to help them put up a rope swing.... Then Nick puts on a hard hat and dives into a 9 minute, super passionate, and in depth instructional to the 10 year old haha Great vid though
