Thanks for the very good tutorial. I have a request: instead of just naming the tools "the A tool", etc., it would be useful for the beginners who subscribe to your channel to give the complete name of the tool: "the Direct Selection Tool (A)", the Option View / outline (command I), etc. Otherwise, it is a little complicated for the beginner to memorise the letters for each Tool and each Option letter. It will save the time to look for where the Option or the Tool is located. Thanks.

Hi Ann, I am banging my head against my desk my desk right now. I'm trying desperately to place A picture of our brownies in a group of letters that I created with the Ai pen. I'm not certain what I'm doing wrong. The first time I tried it went well but my husband asked for a redo and now I'm unable to even change the original color 🤯. I'm teaching myself Ai, so I'm sure you're probably choking on your gum right now. I'm hoping I'll be able to follow your videos on taking the finished product and changing it to a transparent design for the website! oh God, what on earth did I get myself into 😵‍💫

It sounds like you might need to release the mask. You can also select pieces inside the mask (to change color, etc) with the Group Selection tool. Let me know if you're still having trouble.
