Wondering how to put on and wear the Aircast Walking Boot? The boot walker is used for treatment of severe ankle sprains and foot fractures. Benefits offered to the wearer include a customized level of comfort via the adjustable straps and the air cell pockets located on the side walls of the brace.
It is generally recommended you wear a cotton cast sock over the injured foot. Remember to position your heel against the back of the cast. Next, wrap the liner over your leg being sure to smooth out any wrinkles in the liner fabric.
Place the protective plate over your shin and the top of your foot. Tighten the straps on the front of the Aircast boot, making sure they are snug and comfortable at all times.
Locate the aircell valve at the back of the brace near your ankle. Squeeze the bulb of the air pump until the aircell feels snug.

Yeahhh You don’t just walk around in this thing with a broke foot….it’s after it’s healed in a cast. You may have sprained it but definitely not broken and walking in this thing.

I have two fractured toes, and I got an aircast yesterday . It was very comfortable when the doctor put it on. Now that I have put it on its pressure on my toes from the boot. I adjusted the straps.Still had a little pressure on my toe when walking. Any suggestions on how to get the boot back to feeling comfortable.

I have the longer one and think maybe I should have had the shortie instead for an ankle sprain. I DO have a comment about sitting on the rolling chair when putting the boot on. That's possibly dangerous because the chair can roll out from under you when trying to stand up.

If your armpits are bruised you are using crutches wrong. I am on crutches right now and the doctor specifically told me that if you push with your underarms you can pinch nerves and do damage. You’re supposed to use your forearms to push off and hold yourself above the crutch. I’ve been on mine for 6-7 weeks now and no bruising or pain.

Thank you so much. I had the tabs on the tongue part at the ankle on the inside. Then I watched your video, and put the upper tabs on the outside of the plastic boot and the tabs of the tongue on the inside of plastic boot on the foot part. Feels better now.
