I figured I could put them on this channel because I have a Skincare channel that this doesn’t work on🤣 Enjoy making your rose petals! They work for so many things. You can put them on any dessert. Did you make them yet? The smellier the flower the better they taste

THE BRUTAL GARDEN Did you try your squash blossoms yet? So curious how they tasted. I’m going to guess pretty good

Are these from regular roses? Or do you start with edible roses?
@diydesignmuse54793 жыл бұрын
definitely roses from a garden that you know wasn't sprayed. Don't buy store roses for vases. They should be as organic as possible. It only takes 1 to 2 roses. Hopefully you have a neighbor or friend that grows unsprayed roses. xo All roses are edible if not sprayed with insecticides. so good for you

I don’t have dehydrator what should I use instead (I have only just air fryer 😂)
@diydesignmuse54793 жыл бұрын
I don’t think an air fryer would be good? But I don’t know how air fryers work because I don’t have one but I have heard if you heat your oven up to about 125° that should do the trick in about a few hours. Some people say on a super super hot day that you can leave them out in the sun. That only works on a hot day and of course not in the winter LOL

I'm curious, can you freeze the candied rose petals for months down the road?
@Our_Hive_of_Five4 жыл бұрын
Beautiful tutorial. Thank you
@diydesignmuse54793 жыл бұрын
Stephanie Ray I have not tried freezing them because things tend to get ice crystals overtime. I just refrigerate them in a very tightly sealed container and they’ve done wonderfully for months and months.

What would you say your rose petal shelf life is? Thank you!
@diydesignmuse54793 жыл бұрын
Charliiieee I keep them in the refrigerator in a sealed container and they last quite a long time. You can keep them in a cabinet as well because they are basically candy flowers however I noticed they lose their color quicker and of course the rose taste fades with time but keep them sealed really well

What temp to you dehydrate at?
@diydesignmuse54794 жыл бұрын
I have a really inexpensive dehydrator and it doesn't have a temp control. I just plug it in and it heats up. Roses turn out perfect. I just keep an eye on them.. As soon as they are dry like a potato chip I take them out. Hope that helps?
@rsa32453 жыл бұрын
@@diydesignmuse5479 hi nice idea but what is the alternative of the dehydrate it?
@diydesignmuse54793 жыл бұрын
@@rsa3245 you can put the petals on a cookie sheet and set the oven at about 125. Super low kind of like a really scorching hot day. keep them in until they are crisp.
