You create great quality videos with great sound. I would love to see what camera you use and how you’ve attached it to your longarm. And your lighting. Basically your whole setup!Thank you! 😊

Thank you! I use a GoPro. (I have an older model, GoPro Black 7) mostly pay attention to the hypersmooth stabilization. This will make the video smoother and not bounce up and down as much. As for mounting. If you look at the thumbnail of this video. You'll see a black plastic clip on the front of my longarm machine head. This is the GoPro standard sticky mount that you can attach the GoPro's too. Only down side is when I record, it does block my view, so I have to quilt with my head tilted sideways a little bit. Lol but I believe its worth it since my goal was to capture the exact view y'all would be seeing to if you where to quilt. 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed this! I just found your older videos and am liking them! I was unaware of them until a day or two ago. I have been watching your quilt block tutorials for quite a while and they are wonderful!

Hi, your quilting is gorgeous! I have a question about the beginning of the process, if I may ask. Did you first stabilize by stitching in the ditch around those large blocks, or did you just make the channels? I'm starting to quilt a similar patchwork soon and I would like to know what I should do. Thanks for any advice you can give.

As always, love your video. But one small suggestion on this one. It seems that you were having some thread issues, and it would’ve been nice if you slowed it down and showed what was going on and how you picked it out while on the frame. I think it would’ve been a great learning moment for some of us. Thank you for all you do

That is a fantastic idea! But just to let you know what did happen, around 11:42 , my bobbin ran out. With that said every time my bobbin empty's I always re-oil my machine's bobbin area. (Normally this takes two drops of oil, but I was struggling a little to squeeze the oil out which makes it look like I REALLY oiled my machine. lol) Then usually, whenever the bobbin ends for me, the last few stitches are a little tight, so I usually just unpick the last stitches. This time I did unpick more than usual since it was on a curve. If you are pretty good at longarm quilting you can start on the curve, but I unpicked to an area that I felt comfortable in starting to continue the pattern. As for the area around the 13:26 mark, I just had a normal thread break in which I rethreaded the machine. Tried quilting and noticed the thread was tied around the thread spool funny, so I rethreaded the machine again before starting and then completing the quilt. 😅 But I apologize, I definitely will slow down and explain the situation. I left it in there to show others that "hey I have thread breaks too while quilting" but did not think about explaining it. lol, I will definitely write this down in my notes for next time. I appreciate it! 😁

Working on my first quilt on my long-arm. When you "break thread" do you pull up the bobbin thread? And if so how? You mention "travel stitch" as an alternative, what is a "travel stitch?" I have 8 pt star blocks and I'm stitching in the ditch around them but now I want to go back and sew something in the center of each. I'm trying to figure out the best way to jump from one to the other. Thank you

Break threads means you tie a knot and cut / "break" thread. The top and bobbin threads are tied and cut. Then you can move your machine head elsewhere and restart. Many don't like this method for multiple reasons, but this leads to "travel stitch. " Traveling means you don't break thread and you literally sew to the next block/area you want to quilt. Usually you'll stitch in the ditch so it's less noticeable. I hope this helps. 🤗
