Pastor Jim helped me with my marriage. I listen to countless of his sermon esp on marriage. This is absolutely true. Many parents cater to children first, not spouse. When you have that relationship with spouse with God on top your children will see that example. Around 11.45 he mentions balance; how if one parent becomes neglectful in some way, the other parent will overcompensate in an attempt to redress the situation. Psychological studies suggest that that very off-kilter dynamic in parents can be conducive to raising children with irreparable personality disorders, NPD in some cases.

Its the mistake that my late ex husband and I made when we started our family. Looking back we knew that but we did not do it. We would still have been married had we been obedient and just do as God has commanded us to do. God 1st, marriage 2nd, children 3rd.
