Rank your "TITLE" it's the most important step. I actually teach it on my channel but what you wanna do is try and put titles (keywords) that you think people are gonna put into the youtube search, then add the same title keywords in your description as well. This and a few other factors gives you the BEST chance to rank on the first page of youtube =)

My "why" is to pay off our debts (from 3 children college tuitions) and then help our children pay off THEIR debt (we shared it with them :P) from college tuitions. Had to comment to get the view counter off 666! I watched a stack of your videos and downloaded the .PDF from your website. Really encouraged to grow my channel and FOCUS on my target audience. I followed your recommendations and have started a new channel and posted 1 video daily the past few days. I am still finding my bearings on which particular audience I want to attract. Possibly will go the route of 2 channels and dedicate both to their individual target audience instead of having such a wide range of videos. I sincerely thank you for the time and effort you put into your training videos and sharing your wealth of knowledge.

Hey Sean, Looking at my statistics I've realised that less then 5% of my views are from my subscribers. How can I make the other 95% of viewers to become my subscribes? Any tips?
@framerw477 жыл бұрын
Tech Notice Just keep putting out excellent content, bro. It's all a numbers game. You might try asking for the like and subscribe in the description as well. A written reminder might help with those that tune out after the actual content is over. I watched your review of the steadicam gimbal. Awesome review! 👍👍
@theTechNotice7 жыл бұрын
Michael Worthington thanks for the support! :) I try to do that, but at the same time don't wanna come across as begging for likes. It looks like the subscribers are not returning subscribers if thats a term :D They've subbed but not interested (or other reason) to keep up with the uploads. Do you know what I mean?
@framerw477 жыл бұрын
Tech Notice I do know what you mean. I used to maintain mailing lists years ago - before you tube was even a thing. A lot of people would sub and confirm just long enough to get the download link then unsubscribe. Or, they would subscribe, download, then never open my emails again. One thing I can tell you from experience, Take good care of the subs you have and they'll take care of you. Having a small number of loyal watchers that you can communicate with will beat a huge number that never watches your videos. If your 320-something people that subscribe to your channel feel like they know you and can ask you questions and that you'll try to help, they'll be the most responsive and loyal audience you can have. Don't get hung up on huge numbers of subscribers. If you forge a relationship with the people you have, they'll send you more. Hang in there bro.! 👍👍
@theTechNotice7 жыл бұрын
Thanks very much bro! That's a massive help!

My niche for my channel is welding, but since there are so many other people making videos about welding i also am putting the emphasis of my channel on mobile welding on a welding rig(truck outfit with a welding generator on the back) which is something only a couple of other you-tubers show. and even less show actual field welding on work. your videos are very helpful for a small you-tuber like myself!

Does it matter where in the title the search term is? Beginning is better? But what about a “hook” or “catchy” title. Also won’t looking up terms as you’re signed in on your main account, show things relative to what you’ve searched for? I guess that’s where plugins come in to show you the demand/competition of certain keywords

Just something I found out and maybe it can help others. If a video does well create a related follow up video!!! My best performing video was an unboxing of a WD portable Hard drive. COMPLETELY random. Since that unboxing did well I figured a video review of the same product would drive more traffic. IT DID!! I made a review of the hard drive and linked it in the description, end screen and cards. Maybe this helps. Thanks for the amazing work Sean!
