I've looked and looked for a spool like mine. Must have watched a dozen videos that had no relationship to mine until I found your demo. Thanks, I never would have figured this out without your instructional video.

FINALLY! Could not find a video with this sort of spool. Thank you!

Finally! A great video tutorial for how to do this. It makes a lot more sense why the slots are there now, and that you have to loosely put on the bump head then pull hard to release them. Thanks!!!

Man!! We have a homelite plt3400 weed eater and this video is the ONLY ONE on line that tells how to restring it.. THANKS FOR MAKING THIS VIDEO!!!

this is the only video I've found that was the most helpful and straight to the point. also the only one that referenced my weed eater head exactly. thank you!!

Thank YOU!!!!! I asked 3 men at 3 different hardware stores for help and no one man could. I was going to order a whole new head and did not feel like waiting a week for it. The I came to u tube and this video was so easy to follow. Works for toro. Yay thanks.

I think this may be easier than what I have been doing especially regarding the keeper holes which is a nightmare to get both in. I need a new whacker and was hesitant about getting a dual spool. I will get back on whether your instructions works for me. Thank you! P.S. Never knew so many people have trouble stringing like me. For me it is definitely getting it into the holes without unraveling.

Thank you!! Your video was short and to the point and so much more helpful than like 10 other videos we watched parts of before we found your video. Great!!

Ditto what Brock Paul said. Many re-string videos, but this is the first I found for a spool like mine. Very helpful; thanks for taking the time to do it. A+++

Thank you - thank you. Brock summed it up well and I'll just reiterate. This is a great video for a single spool, not double spool with a divider ridge on the spool for the echo. Thank you for taking the time to help the amateurs Creator Zoo. 7 years after posting, it's still paying dividends. That's Darma (good into the world), not Karma (what happens based on what you put in or take) and I appreciate you. Be well. Stay safe. My eyes and ear protection are on. My weeds are shaking at their roots. Tallyhooooooooooo

Interesting. I thought I had to have a double line reel, but I see you are using just a signle line reel yet with two strings doing the job. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! The idiots at honda dealership had no clue as the way they showed me does not feed. Geez was it frustrating. All darn summer last year I had to keep reloading the stupid thing. Now, success.

I found this video looking for a guide on how to install the string on my Echo PAS 280 trimmer attachment 99944200545. Even after I went back and found the original instruction manual, I still wouldn't have been able to figure it out without this video.

Thanks man, I took my weedwhacker to sort of a bootleg store for a tune up and new head and they gave me this style head without explaining it. And I shoulda taken the pre-stringed spool off to see how it was done before I started trimming. So I was puzzled. I first tried it this way, just that I used both holes. Then I tried one hole, but the string kept getting stuck together. I like your wrapping technique and the loose roll. Hopefully that will do the trick. I can never seem to get any head to feed string properly. Hopefully, this finger technique will work.

The dual channel spool keeps the string from getting tangled inside and binding. The single channel seems to bind more.I have to keep taking it apart to pull the string out.

thank you for the information. Unfortunately my head is different. I've had nothing but difficulty with my weed eater. It literally takes hours on end for me to weed it two small, very small yards. I am to the point where I really just want to put the darn thing in the garbage can. Maybe even sell my house. the string keeps fauling and I have to restring every 10 feet.

Hi Sam, actually that is about the right length depending on the thickness of the string, and the size of the head....
