Very much enjoyed this video bro! I will definitely be watching it again so I can drill it in my head. How can you determine what ball and drilling and surface 😅 fits for a pattern? I know it also determines on the kind of bowler you are.

Thanks! It’s not always easy to tell which ball to throw or which surface to use. It can be a big puzzle sometimes! It’s all about trial and error based on how you bowl. One tip is to look at how your ball is hooking downlane. If it’s making a violent, uncontrollable motion, it’s probably best to change to a smoother ball or apply more surface. And vise-versa, if you would like a sharper motion downlane use less surface and go to a snappier ball.

Lot of PBA bowler’s don’t read the oil pattern profile sheet. They really don’t consider the information useful. Instead they intuitively just learn from how the bowling ball is reacting on the lane surface. One important fact is most PBA bowlers are speed dominate with high rev releases. They simply have incredible ball speed and pin carry dynamics. The power does need to be managed. Those professional bowlers rely on the oil volume to enable a ball track that will conserve sufficient ball energy, but also at the breakpoint to slow down, flare, and then roll towards the pin deck strike pocket. To accomplish this ball surface is very important. Speed dominate preference is solid, while rev dominate bowlers better choice is pearl coverstock. The sport of bowling 🎳 is more about what is your foul line release speed. If you can throw the bowling ball comfortably at 18mph, then you are moving left, advantageously using the lane oil, and selecting bowling balls that provide the necessary control without sacrifice to kinetic power.

Hey bro I loved your vid and just today did sub to your channel 😀 Can u help me plz, if I follow the speed of pattern then there's some difference in the length (more or less) but if I exactly adjust the length of oil for each step then have to ignore the speed...what should I do, what's more important to follow to install an oiling pattern in machine??? Exact speed or exact length after each step ?? Example: 1F..2L 2L / Load..2 0-->>10 / Speed..10 But pattern says 0-->>8 / speed...10 which is only possible if I reduce speed to 8.. So what should I prefer???

Look more into the number of loads, then the speed. The machine will automatically do the length of each load, but increasing the loads will increase the length. In other words, if you put down more oil (loads) it will take longer for the machine to do that and make it go further down the lane. Slower speed just means it’s going to apply that oil to a smaller area because it is going slow, and faster means larger area because it’s quickly applying the oil and moving further on.

@@FloppyPENGuinn Thanks for your such supportive reply bro ❤️ 😊 Actually I'm keeping three things same in machine as mentioned in pattern paper.. 1, Boards on Right and Left 2, Number of Loads 3, Speed But the points Start & End fluctuate in machine when I follow the same speed as mentioned in Pattern Paper. I have to adjust speed to follow the Start & End same like Pattern paper... U got it ? Why I'm confused Actually ?? Boards on Right and Left (machine and paper same) Loads (machine and paper same) Speed (machine and paper same) But Start and End length doesn't matches with pattern paper if i put the same speed as mentioned in paper...so I have to compromise either between speed and length sometimes... I'm using Kegel Flex very old model.. but why it happens like that While the pattern paper in my hand is exactly for kegel

@@faaan610 Ahhh, I see what you mean now. I’ve actually only had this occur twice before with two different patterns in our IKON machine. My advice is to call Kegel and ask them, especially if it’s doing this consistently, because the distance between the loads should match the paper. I do not know the reasoning behind it, although I’ve asked a friend who would know and he didn’t have a clue. So, best thing is to call their support number and ask when you can. It’s on their website.
