I would NOT title this "How to Read Whitewater." as there are no mentions as to how to read the river and lines. this should be titled, "Features of a River" because that's all it covers, and very minimally at that

I could visualise reading the river from the descriptions he gave. The main difference from other videos is this one didn’t have as many straight lines showing the features, but in my mind I could see them. I guess we all visualise differently.

Reading the water is something we must do every time before we go boating. The power of nature is too strong.

try launching east of the Little Chaudière Rapids (there's a boatlaunch on the south shore across from Lemieux Island) & head west past the bridges & islands to the rapids. that area is a great training ground, with slow water, fast water, lotsa different conditions to play around in (watch out for surfers at the Dessert Wave!).
