This video was fantastic. I turned a 17 minute video into a 2 hour job but next time will be faster. I've been paying shops to rebuild my forks for 7 years. No More!

I thought the manual suggest heating up the lower part of the uppers where it tapers out to 50c before doing the pulling motion? If you don't have the fancy orange tube protector, can use a small plastic bag or condom lol.

Same amount of oil for both the left and right forks??

I drained the air from the schrader valve and the fork sucked into the compressed position under a strong vacuum. Forks only have 50 hrs on them and was working fine. 2019 Husqvarna FX450. Going to consult a friend who has the same fork. I'm guessing a seal may be bad, or I just need to leave like 10-20 psi in the fork. I wasn't planning on changing any seals during this service. My 1st time working on AER forks. ANyone have similar experience?

How are you torquing the inner tube on top of the forks? Is there a torque wrench attachment that is large enough to fit?
@robertdebono28104 жыл бұрын
All well but it's better if you drive the gide before the oil seal instead of hammering together they will go in sweeter one after the other apparti this good instruction there is the need of cleaning over used oil and polishing dirt blast on chrome. Rob. malta

What’s the reason for letting the air pressure out of the inner chamber if not rebuilding it?
@gilamesse8 ай бұрын
Have you had stiff shocks after the rebuild?
@rmatvmc8 ай бұрын
We would recommend double checking the air pressure to make sure it's not too high and causing them to be too stiff. Most people are running about 145 to 150 psi.

So basically WP XACT forks with AER technology have damping functions on the right side and air on the left, i understand the left side(air side) but is the damping side like coil fork or is it just damper, spring, oil or is it damper and air or something?

Question is that digital air pump you are using, is the battery in it USB or even rechargeable, I bought one a while back and after a year of use, the battery died, the manufacturer Fox said they're were a disposable unit and not rechargeable or battery replaceable, so that went to the bin, thank you Fox! I have an XPLOR so it's not an issue for me now, probably never touch an air fork again! I'm a set it up right and leave it type of guy! But I think it's worth mentioning if those pumps have moved on and are rechargeable or the battery is atleast replaceable without having to dispose of the whole pump? Cheers guys big fan of Rockymtn 👍

Our Tusk Digital Suspension Pump offers an auto start and shut-off for long battery life - battery is replaceable (CR2032). Sorry to hear that about your Fox pump.

How to add preassure to 2016 model AER Forks if i don't have that plug which allow to screw inn pump ? Should i buy any special kit with that?

The shock pump should have come with the correct adapter to allow you to screw into your AER forks air valve. What model bike and air pump do you have?

@@dawidworwa1206 That bike should have come with 48mm WP 4CS forks, KTM went to the AER forks in 2017 on the SX models here in the U.S.. Did you put the AER forks on your bike?
@dawidworwa12064 жыл бұрын
@@rmatvmc so that means 4CS is not possible to check preassure or pump it up? ? Can't find anything about that
@rmatvmc4 жыл бұрын
@@dawidworwa1206 The 4CS forks are not air forks so you wouldn't be able to check air pressure. But we have a video showing how to rebuild the 4CS forks if you want to check that out and make sure those are what is on your bike. If your goal is to get your forks to be stiffer, you can still accomplish that by using your compression clicker. The compression adjustor should be the clicker located on your left fork. You can check out the 4CS rebuild video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rqvRZ35upt6qh68
