Yes please! Service your Car AC yourself. R134A is very easy to over fill. I made 1000's of dollars from people trying to do this themselves. 3 or 4 oz. too much R134A in a hot climate will explode a compressor. Do that and you need to replace not just the compressor but the Condenser too. Flush the hoses and replace the accumulator too. Don't forget the expansion tube or valve as well. The reason you have to replace the Condenser is because today's condensers have very small refrigerant holes inside the tubes and you can't flush out all the metal derbies stuck inside from the compressor failure.

Adding freon if too low will turn on the compressor if not broken. No need to replace compressor.
