Thank you, The Bonis!! Suddenly remembered a line from the song Gravity by Sara Bareilles!! "You hold me without touch, you keep me without chains" 😢 there's this gravitational pull you experience when someone gaslights you and it's a hard cycle if you don't recognize it! Thank God for the wisdom to be able to discern these things now that I'm older! 🤗

Thank you so much for this. :) Very important insight here is "Focus on Actions, Not Words". This is a very long-time issue for me now, I remained silent for a long time, and I decided to speak my truth bit by bit. People told lies about me, without actually seeing if it is true or not (evidence-based), and the liars keep telling false stories merely based on words, and people actually believed them for a long time. I decided now to speak my truth. Never trust words, but actions! Thank you so much. Truth is really the cure for gaslighting.

Parang lahat tayo na biktima ng gaslight. Ako during marriage ko din na feel or na experience sa asawa ko. Nung una akala ko, mali ko lahat. Pero hindi pala. Pero now, in fairness ng effort na mn si hubby na magbago. So di ko na sya na experience. Salamat Lord.

Wow..amazing topic really! I never thought that the word I used to brush off and ignore just because I felt it's such a boring word is actually the opposite. It's interesting to know that there is a proper name and profound explanation to something that most of us had experienced whether at home, work, school or anywhere else. Thank you guys for sharing your thoughts about gaslighting and for giving us ideas and opening our eyes about this reality. Thank you as well for including equally interesting books, films and of course, Bible verses which are all very relevant to the topic. How I wish this is the kind of conversation that most people would enggage in instead of the nonsense gossips. Thanks for another intelligent conversation, Bonis❤👍🙂🥰

Yeahhh, gaslighting has something to do with any form of manipulation. Cant believe I am easily get drag by the people we trusted our lives and the worst thing is you learned from them to gaslight innosent people. I am deeply rebuke by this. Thank you pows!

Enlightening those who are in this kind of situation or those being treated this way.. never doubt yourself if you feel being “Gaslighted” you can get out of that relationship, YOU definitely deserve better than that and above all trust God bec. He will help you get through that tough situation. 💕

In my case, my ex-husband was always gaslighting me for the longest time whenever I confronted him about his cheating. I started to think maybe he was right that it was just my imagination, but my mind was telling me otherwise. I stood my ground. In the end, I was right the whole time because he finally admitted it after so many years. Trust was definitely broken.

Rica, “It’s because I didn’t understand what you were talking about.” Husband, “You did understand.” Husband gaslighting because Rica already said she didn’t understand, and husband is assuming she understood. Rica, “Akala mo lagi kang tama.” Husband, “Sino ba ang nag sabi hindi ako laging tama?” Rica gaslighting because he already said that he’s not always right. 😂❤

I'm not sure if I made the right decision to listen to the podcast today while working in the office while having sciatica flare up. For a time, I didn't mind the pain of sciatica because I am doing flashback of my relationships - parentals, friends, Boss, and even colleagues, while listening to you guys. Hay, hay na lang talaga. Why is it hard for authority figure to say sorry? Or for being mindful of their effect towards other people? I am also guilty of gaslighting and though I'm far from perfect example of human being, na-bobothered ako. Bakit marami ang hindi? Sana may pill na pwede ipa-inom sa tao to let them know what they are doing. 🥺. I love this episode, as usual, but I also feel bad. Reality is so sad.

I got gaslighted by my wife’s family as a Canadian married to a Filipina , after helping many family members come to Canada I got sick heart issues, Two sisters that came here made me feel useless, Also I observed one of them physically abuse their two grandchildren , When I tried to talk about I got attacked by the whole family , They May have handled the grandmother in their own way but I got treated more server.y , trying to convince me what I saw was not so bad ,
