The window looks a bit better when you re-launch the game after enabling it (and at every next launch), but it's still imperfect! And in full screen + Borderless it doesn't show some parts of the interface. I was changing the settings (4:39) and OBS didn't capture the settings window!!! I noticed that after rendering! So you need to always be in windowed mode actually.

I thought that I was the only one who has that type of problem while playing The Sims 3. Always when I minimized the game interface and played again the game, once more on it owns turned dark. Now, I'm currently playing The Sims 2 which it's not giving me any kind of problem identical as The Sims 3. That is a minimal error about the graphics of the water. I literally download a backup and since then, I do not take any interest about the weird looking water and play without any issue. I would like you to explain in more detail about the water problem of my game, if not a nuisance 😁

If your water problem is in The Sims 2, your game has probably turned off the shaders! I had the same problem with Sims Stories: Castaway and only manually changing the Graphics Rules file helped. 1. Find the Graphic Rules file (For UC on Origin: Program Files\Origin Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\Fun with Pets\SP9\TSData\Res\Config OR CSConfig), make a backup and open the file as an administrator in Notepad. 2. At the very beginning change seti Low 1 seti Medium 2 seti High 3 So that you've got 3 everywhere 3. Using the 'Find' tool, find and edit all instances of a) 'simpleTerrain': from 'true' to 'false' b) 'useShaders': from 'false' to 'true' c) 'enumerateMultisampleLevels': from 'false' to 'true' 4. This should help with the wonky-looking water. PS. If you don't have higher resolutions available, by editing the same file, you can enable them in your game. For that, there are plenty tutorials online.

I assume Capturing Game (not window or screen) does not work either? I remember there was a cheap game which capturing using this method would make the recorded video have x ray vision through the ground in specific place while in game everything was fine xD

I think capturing game is fine, I'm using these settings in capture game mode.

I honestly don't bother with all that. I simply use a gamma filter in OBS and that's it. It doesn't look perfect but it does the trick.
