How to record condencer mic on PS4 and Xbox One.

this should work on Xbox one, just plug the splitter thingy into the Xbox controller instead

Couldn’t you use both a left and right for me an RCA to 3.5mm from the back into the mic splitter port? Or do you have to just use the left

You can! Though keep in mind the cable you need depends on the model you have. Gen3 scarlet solo has 1/4" inputs on the back instead of RCA, so make sure you're buying the correct cables for the version of the scarlet solo you use.

So you can use both a mic and a pair of studio headphones connected to the audio interface and they both work on the ps4?

I think the headphones have to be plugged into wherever you can get sound out of the ps4. Audio interfaces don't pick up sound on consoles as far as i know.

so this is a bit of a work around, the only reason i plug the interface into the ps4 is for power, the splitter (or whatever the hell it is) pulls audio from the controller for the ps4 sound, and then the "Direct Monitor" on the focusrite allows you to hear said ps4 sound as well as record it... this has the added "side effect" of letting you hear yourself
