I like fraps cause it splits your video in pieces. It useful if you for example want to add text or whatever and its easier to search through multiple files. And it's not messy at all. You just gotta delet everything after a recording session.

For anyone who has an ssd and a normal hard drive, if you record from your hard drive then set the folder path to the ssd, then you can boost the performance of your computer while recording.

its because your computer needs to put a string of data into a avi file.. your computer has no time to put every thing in its space and optimize the file size this is helped by compressing the video afterwards. this is the problem with most fraps users. else if this is still to much GB. then i recommend using "VirtualDub" and "xvid mpeg4 codec" there both freeware. this gets most of my videos from 210gb to around 5 gb and sometimes not even any quality loss.

Well If you have the file as AVI or use windows to view it switch the Record file to RawCap and there should be a neon button where it says *RawCap converter* That plays it smoothly for me I have 30 to 29 fps because of my computer or settings so yah IDK

there should be its kind of 50/50 because at the Movie tab there is a option on the right "Output" you can choose file (avi) or direct show output i dont know how this exactly works but if you get some research in there you'll be able to find out ;)

The AVIMux is to make the 2 video file into 1 so it really does help when i compress it to a smaller size

-Thats probly cause you have a slow harddrive, cause u need fast hard drive for this program to record 1080p, if you have 70 mb you can record in 1080p, if you have 50 mb below u can only record in 720p so yeah, hope this helps :)

I had been using Fraps for years. I just downloaded dxtory and I've never lagged so hard. Settings are set to 30 fps and it's just unplayable with the lag. btw I paid for the full version.

that's what fraps does. Try getting some kind of program to compress it without losing quality.

HorsePlayGaming when choose your codec you should download the Lagrith Lossless code, you loose litirally NO frames per second and is full quality

OMg i was a fraps user for a while then i bought dxtory and i tested it and its awesome!! and i get about 18-25 fps when i record Minecraft.but when i use to use fraps i only got 15-17 fps. But can i get ur peoples opinion? I have a AMD E1-1200 apu with Radeon HD graphics 1.4 Ghz 4.00 GB Ram 64-bit operating system is that good for a gaming Latop? or should i get a new one?

I bought Dxtory but when I pres f12 it will say recording in the top left for a few seconds then turn to the color when its not recording and it wont save to the place I set it to and it wont save at all.

There are a few ways. But for the cheapest one is a game capture card and you have to have a GREAT computer for it. For 200 dollars you can get Roxio that records HD

For some reason the hotkey doesn't work. I had the same problem with Fraps. Only when I checked the option to record the Aero thing it worked and recorded properly. But without it, the program doesn't give a shiet if I press the hotkey or not. No reaction. :/ Can someone help me?

Gusy if you get the free verzion of bandicam (this is for windows) you can go to your setting and change the setting to start new recording after the recording is done and you can go to windows movie maker and click the videos and clikc the youtube looking logo and than you know upload which i thinjk is really easy so go do it!!!!
