My guy drops this 24 hours after a brutally cold, rainy, hilly marathon. Perfect timing my friend

Some awesome advice here. The point about getting back to feeling like "someone who trains" is important. Too many people leave it to long and stop, rather than just backing off and building back up again.

I done the Loch Ness marathon as well. Good day out and great scenery. Pity I just came across your videos after the event. Subscribed 👍🏻

Interestingly 4 days ago with age 67 I run a marathon. 2 days after marathon I fehlt o.k. and energized again. Nothing hurts and I continued my running, cycling and swimming (in cold river) training. That shows, my marathon training was optImal this time and I believe that is the reason

Recently completed a marathon and best tip is defo do those activities that you ignored during prep...and even better if with others...back playing 5aside and its more a mental than a physical benefit 🤛

I think this should be after "a major life event" and not just an athletic endeavor. Was sick off and on for almost 2 months to come back to training it was a similar experience with giving the body time to recover and figure itself out again. A major takeaway is the need to find a "fun" outlet so it feels less "rise and grind", especially when you're trying to build back momentum.

@ferguscrawley95 love your content. I feel the one thing I missed this cycle is the strength training side of things. I just kinda ran, I'm new to it, so I prioritized running sessions. Would love to know your thoughts on starting a Strength program in this off season, as a follow on from this video. Love the suggestion of exploring different exercises, my thought is to start on the bike.
