I can speak from personal experience, watching a trade unfold, in your favor or against you is definitely stressful. So, setting it, forgetting it, and not keeping an eye on it for a predetermined time period, based on the trading plan and time frame, is definitely a stress reducer. I tried it, and it is a big help. My heart rate was normal for a change. Plus, it can take time for the plan to work out, so need to give it time. Thanks for this gem.

Thanks so much. I having this episode for entire week. Just shaken with confidence by recent loss that has been constant defensive after taking a trade that stall and flush hitting my stops. I manage to recover some thru double at the dips after rebounded. But I do have some unlucky one that I have to take the losses. It did impacted my overall confidence in the past few days.

This is the main reason why I can’t make money! I’ve a very very good system, But I can’t take trade all the time! My mind always try to find most comfort zone and I miss trades.

As stated, the best way to erase anxiety is to have a clear cut plan. Planned entry, planned stop and planned money you are willing to risk BEFORE getting in the trade.

Without watching the video: How to reduce ANXIETY AND STRESS in trading: 1. Make a trading robot (EA). 2. If you're sure in the set strategy, you'll just leave it work. 3. No anxiety, because you will not look at the charts everyday. I stopped manual trading, I learnt how to make an EA and for 6 months I am +20% money. I look at the EAs like an ASSET that will make me money over time, while I'm working irl, while I'm on vacation, while I'm sleeping, while I'm living my life. If you win by manual trading - great, don't stop doing it. I couldn't, so I made an emotionless asset that does it for me.

Thanks. All good stuff. My issue is that whilst I have no issue with a sub $1000 loss, somehow I get stressed above these levels even though 1% is 1% of the larger account size.

Nice, you can get away with most issues by just trading small, the biggest killer is over leveraging and being married to a trade. To trade small and still make decent profits means you need a decent size account though, at least $20K. Most people are trying to flip small accounts which never works…most people can trade but they don’t have the confidence to fund a large amount.

Yes, was it me or was the NAS100 a b*gger to trade last week? Can;t remember if it was specifically Weds or Thursday or Tuesday as well. Oh and Friday did a mini stoploss hunt on me before zinging off in the right direction. That last one was my fault
