Oh sir, sometimes, well today, I got all messed up. I'm so disciplined usually and then bang, today I go into full impulse thoughtless profitless mode, I don't know why I started chasing trades, reversing my trades, making trades without analysis today.. I never do this usually but I stopped digging on the 3rd bad trade before I dug to big a hole, as you always suggest... and now I'm taking the time to binge watch your vids lol. Cheers. trading is such a mind bend sometimes.

I did read trading in the zone, and i dont remember the book addressing this kind of angle at all. It was a good read, tought me some stuff, but now that im switching to scalping, im noticing that the emotions that i feel after a win or a loss, are impacting the performance of the next trade noticeably. It is a very subtle feeling, and i just realise that im actually surpresing my emotions "I must not overtrade i must follow my rules" yes, but i do feel frustrated constantly trought the day even if i win. I am surpressing my emotions and this is affecting my performance. I thought that you could just get trought it with pure raw discipline, but i probably need to get deeper than that... great video, ill look that book for sure

Simplify. I finally, after years of frustration, broke myself down to only 3 indicators and watching a handful of stocks every day wether they’re moving or not. I’ll check out something off the list if there’s an earnings report or news release but only till it runs its course. There’s way to much information out there, its all right and its all wrong. There’s a lot of strategies out there, they all work and they all fail. Some people can handle over abundance most can’t, that’s why algorithms were invented, that’s why trading firms have multiples of people working for them, one person can’t cover everything every day. I my opinion the most important thing to learn is to learn you. Now with WWIII looming nobody knows what’s going to happen, we can only speculate.

cheers - i know people have daily loss limit but who has a number of trades in a row loss limit? Like you're only allowed x amount of losing trades in a row before a break?
@ukspreadbetting2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that's a good idea - stopping trading after suffering X number of losing trades in a day or such. It stops you from trading on tilt.

Depends on lifestyle. ~250 trading days in a year. $400 a day is ~$100k per year

Have a plan that contains what a good plan contains. Write your system down! If you have thought about all possible scenarios a trade could give you and you've decided how to play them when they arise then a lot of emotions will fall of you when the market tries to kick you out. MANAGE YOUR RISK!!
