I would like to use it for refilling ink. Can I use it for a case of setup ink? Cannon's error 1752 comes out and it doesn't become 1753. In this case, I can't press for 5 seconds and I don't think I can release the counter. Is there any good way? If this is resolved, I would like to consider purchasing.

Yes, this process will have to be repeated for each of the 12 colors, as they empty and get refilled.

Do you have side by side comparison prints to see how the final images look? Also in terms of ink quality, previously I've heard that many 3rd party inks lead to the nozzles getting clogged, how does Ink Owl address this?

In terms of color match, our inks are designed to be very, very close, so that there is no need to do any adjustment to get comparable prints. Held side-by-side, small differences in shade can be noticed, but not in any way that would compromise the quality of the final result. Since there are always differences in the look of a printed image compared to the look of an image on a screen, an image printed with our ink, while subtly different from one printed with the original ink, is perfectly satisfactory. As for clogging, our inks are designed with the same physical characteristics as the original, so that they can mix with the original ink already inside the system without causing settling of the pigments. It takes a delicate chemical balance to maintain the solid pigment particles evenly dispersed, but we are able to achieve this. So long as the pigment inks remain dispersed, there will be no clogging. Our inks are manufactured in the USA, and so we are able to guarantee that our customers will receive the exact same ink with every re-order.

While it's not impossible, I really do not anticipate CANON using a firmware update to block refilling of cartridges. CANON is actually very good about allowing its customers to refill their cartridges if they so desire!

Hi there, will the "reset" work on OEM cartridges with the original chips that are refilled and does it only work 1 cartridges at a time? I've recently got a pro 1000 plus 1 full set of OEM ink but I'm trying to get my head round refilling and this, sorry seems too simple. The low warning on the CO came on recently and I wanted to try out this method but don't want to mess up all the inks.

Our method as shown in the video is definitely superior in that you don't need to modify the cartridge at all! Our refill kit includes the specially-adapted refill tips that mate perfectly with the CANON cartridges for very easy filling right through the exit hole! There is no limit to how many times you can re-use a cartridge!

Yes, you could damage the printhead and be forced to replace it. Therefore, it's very important to monitor those ink levels very closely!

The PRO-1000 is a pigment-based printer, so using dye inks would not be recommended at all.

you have printheads designed to spit out at a specific burst for pigments, and dye is a different viscose fluid I would think, so this can cause issues. But you can always try it, and risk getting 2-3 maintenance tanks, new set of print heads. Would cost you almost the price of the printer, but maybe worth trying :-)

I don't use any type of detergent to avoid contamination of the inks. Just use warm water right after you finish and you'll be good to go.

I refill the cartridge, but the printer still keep telling me the cartridge ink is low. So confused.

That is correct. Indeed, the printer's ink level will not reset itself after refilling. However, a bypass exists to allow you to print indefinitely even when the ink level eventually reaches 0%. For details, please see 1:54 in the video.

Hi. The printer wont come up with the question of ignoring color x cartridge monitoring. Why he donst come up with it? 2 of my carts are red empty marked and he keeps printing anyway. Any idea guys?

If you are able to print, then there is no problem. When the cartridge stops printing, simply remove it, reinstall, and the prompt to disable ink level monitoring will appear. In any case, whenever you are using refilled cartridges, you absolutely must take the cartridges out regularly to make sure they never run anywhere close to empty.

@@InkOwldotcom Yeah when it works it works that wise im already. Well he told me an error 17xx. I assume he was pissing ink in the MC-20 Tank away. He said "need a new ink cartridge im not able to print" not even pushing the special Button helped to close the message. Any clue what that was?

Precision Color says they were able to 100% match 9 of the 12 inks for the Pro1000. My printer is full of the inks and do not want to run any clean cycles to get it out. Will your InkOwl colors of Blue Yellow Red work like the OEM to get mixed with and use along the Precision Color inks?

Our inks definitely match the OEM colors very closely on all 12 colors. So, if you are using Precision Colors on 9 of the 12, you can certainly use us for the remaining 3 colors! It is possible to order the color bottles individually along with the refill tooling from www.inkowl.com

@@InkOwldotcom Thanks. Also are your ink pigments in solution a viscosity level that is compared to OEM, and how close is it? So it is a matching flow rate without sediments. There are reports of this printer clogging due to 3rd party inks. What stats can you provide that has been tested, besides color match, to ensure your ink sets will not adversely hinder the printer?
