Did like the instruction told me. Test printed, and perfect. Used a dry micro-clot to wipe of the roll you must not tutch. There was a lot of powder in them. The iron tool works great.

i would say be careful to get all the old toner out (use an airline to blow it out), the mixing of two toner types (brands) can cause printing problems. also a simple refill may not be enough to get high quality prints as the PCR may need cleaning as well as the corona wire (if the cartridge uses one), the developer roller may also be clogged with old toner but this often doesn't make too much difference. The OPC drum may have scratches caused by doctor and recovery blades and may need to be replaced. If your cartridge shows signs of leaking toner then the recovery blade may need to be replaced. Like the hole tool a lot, a large wattage soldering iron with the tip replaced by a suitably sized piece of steel tubing makes a good substitute. The cartridges can be drilled if you go carefully ( not to damage any agitator system that may be in the toner chamber) but an airline is needed to blow the chamber out in case plastic has fallen inside.

I'd like to order the the North American holemaking tool, but does it come with a plug so I can plug up my MFP m277 dw Hewlett Packard cartridge after I make the hole? I didn't see those plugs for sale on your website.

The hole needs to be sealed with aluminum duct tape for it to be truly airtight. This tape should be provided with the toner kit, but if ever you need, you can always order some from us along with the tool.

It's always better to empty the toner hopper and fill it with new toner. Don't mix the old and the new toner. And it's not necessary to burn out a hole in the plastic. It's better to access the hopper thru the developer roller.

Even though the high-yield 201X cartridge normally carries more toner than the 201A, due to the cramped design of the cartridge with the toner sac, we don't recommend filling it with more than 1 bottle at a time. The bottles we provide contain 35g of black and 30g of color, enough for 1500 pages of black or 1400 pages of color at 5% page yield.

Those aluminum tape are junk, no matter how much tape I use It leak out, rubber plug needed.
