How to refill pressure and replace pressure gauge

Like your videos LaymanDIY. Question: The needle in my pressure gauge rattles like hell driving me mad. Will the one you installed have the same problem or is it nice and quiet ?

Hi, I appreciate you making this video. I refilled my boiler with the CH valve (shown in your vid), in the wrong position (parallel) and broke my pressure gauge. I'm going to replace the gauge. The manual instructs to drain the Central Heating system before doing this. Rather than just turning the valve as you do. Are you confident it can be done like this without causing further issue? Thank you.

Only if you have the ability to isolate the pressure gauge, like it is in the video. If you don't, you must depressurise the system. Most don't have isolation valves so best to drain.

@@laymandiy I have the exact same boiler as you show. So yes I have the same isolation valve that you show.

Is the pipe work at the bottom the same? Because that's crucial.

@@laymandiy yes it's all the same or very very similar. It's an ideal logic combi 24. The valve and pipe for the pressure gauge is identical

To replace the pressure gauge do you need to be gas safe registered?

You need to make people aware that this only applies to that specific boiler! If you try this on a vaillant or worcester etc and don't know what you're doing then your in for a surprise. I'm a gas safe boiler engineer btw.
