Be interested in seeing how the Jaeger connector goes onto the coleman propane bottle. Any leaks expected during connection? Also be interested in a close up of the pipe to connect the Flogas to the coleman bottle. Ultimately would love to see the flogas in action (what fps, and how many shots you can get out of a refill coleman bottle vs new coleman bottle). Great video thanks for posting 👍

This is what I was thinking too. I keep looking on Amazon at all these refilling hoses etc and I've got no idea if they fit the UK propane bottles or if our bottles are the same fitting as the US propane bottles. A proper breakdown of the kit used and maybe an affiliate link so we can support the channel as we buy would be great.

Those bottles are rated to hold 465g of propane, took some digging but allegedly only refilling the large branded ones is illegal, the disposable ones are not illegal to fill though selling the fill adaptors can get you prosecuted apparently as happened in 2013. So IF you're going to fill your own bottles I would highly suggest you do it by weight to ensure there is sufficient head room for expansion when back up to temp, Coleman make their bottles fairly robust with redundancy after a few incidents of yanks blowing themselves up (hence why it says don't refill) but I would still definitely suggest sticking it on a scale and making sure you don't exceed that 465g (935g total weight) weight point.

Interesting to see you do the same thing I do. The the cost difference is incredible. I don't even thing about propane costs anymore, its negligible when you refill the bottles yourself. When I tell people what I do and how much cheaper it is there astonished but for some reason they all complain about the smell.

For the ones that don't accept gas, cut the bottom off one and look inside. See if theres something that's collapse inside or sealed by leaving it too empty, worth looking to see why it won't accept gas.

I’m thinking of moving away from Coleman’s and going to ASG Ultrair as I have no end of issues with filling mags with propane and adaptors. No such issues with the Ultrair bottles. I’ve wasted so much propane just from filling issues. Now with the massively increased costs of Coleman’s/other brands of propane, I just can’t justify buying it 🤷🏻♂️

Yeah its way cheaper here in the US. They cost about 1 for $7 or 4 for $24 and I wouldn't buy them to refill as they're not spec'd for refilling and I wouldn't like having a pipe bomb in my hand or even near me. You can buy a rated bottle of amazon for roughly around 25-35 dependent on size. Remember rules are written in blood.

I'm curious about, if any, differences from green gas filled mags, so, please, post pt.2 soon😅 by the way, i live in Italy and Coleman's cans are very difficult to find (at least, the type you show in video), do you know about other brands suitable for the use?

With the ones that dont fill, have you tried opening green lever very slowly. Ive started seeing bottles fitted with device that shut off gas flow if a rapid surge of gas flows through it (purpose of it is meant to stop gas if hose ruptures) but ive seen it get in the way of people refilling
@Fabbylous15 күн бұрын
I wonder. Could you fill up your GBBR mags with compressed air? Like a diving bottle can be filled with air, would you not be able, with the correct nozzle, fill your mags like that?
@josephheo330215 күн бұрын
No, these bottles are for LIQUID propane gas (lpg). Trying to fill with air wouldn't work due to the higher pressures necessary to contain gaseous air. Hence why air tanks have psi ratings
@TrackStriker15 күн бұрын
no. The way propane/green gas work is that the mag is filled with pressurized and therefore liquid gas. When hitting the output valve some of the liquid gas will escape and transform to a gas. Compressed air does not work this way, it needs way higher compression, like the 3000/4500 psi hpa tanks can withstand. That's why you can fit a hpa hose (connected to a regulator that sets the output pressure to around 80-120psi) to gbb mags: the regulator constantly keeps the pressure in the mag to a set level.
