You inspire a lot of people to do this for a living. Until they do it lol! You make it look easy.

It's simple but not easy. I will be making a video of pros and cons soon. I make it look easy because I've been doing it for a while and it is edited for youtube but it's not that much different.

can you please tell me on your 2 guns what size needles are you using for tubs, counter tops, etc. which size is for the paint and which is for top coat and what size for flaking on sinks and counter tops. also, is it ok to use the top feeder guns instead of bottom feed. im starting a new business. Thanks
@thetubguy22934 ай бұрын
I only use 2 different tip sizes: 2.8 for the fleck and 1.4 or1.3 for everything else depending on the model gun and what size they offer. None of the gun manufacturers offer both 1.4 & 1.3. But most importantly, I Have a total of five guns and 2 setups in my work truck: 1. Consists of 2 guns primer gun and a top coat for tubs. 2. Consists of 3 guns: Base coat gun, fleck gun & clear coat gun for kitchen counters and vanities. I do this so there's NEVER cross contamination while working and any confusion or distraction while moving from one job to the other. I've never used a top feed gun and never heard of anyone using one for refinishing. I guess none of us have and none of us are willing to spend the money on an experiment, but I'm sure there's a better reason. Hope this answers your question. Good luck on your new business.

Hey man, I love your videos. I’m just starting out in the business and I’d like to pick your brain on a couple things, how can I get ahold of you?

I can't mentor at the moment right now cause I'm steadily getting slammed. But post as many questions as you want(number them pls) and I'll answer as many as I can. Thanks bro

@@thetubguy2293 I just ordered a c.a. Tech gun pretty sure it’s the same one you put in your tool video description, I can’t seem to find a 2.0 mm cap. It’s going to be my multispec/ countertop gun.1. Do you know where I can order one? 2. What size tip do you use for flek/multispec?

@@thetubguy2293 update, I found a 2.0 mm cap. 1. What size tip do you use for multispec? 2. I noticed you don’t use the 3m pps system, do you clean your gun between priming, flek, and clear coat? Or do you use a separate gun?

Do you give a warranty on the countertops seeing as though people are going to be cutting into them etc. ?
@thetubguy229310 ай бұрын
Tubs and countertops both get a 1 yr warranty. Basically the life of simple lease. But I do not warranty cuts made to the tops or damage due to drippy faucet in tubs. Any customer who feels you should honor the warranty due to those 2 instances, is not a customer you want.

Hey brother how can we contact you for trainings?
@thetubguy22934 ай бұрын
Sorry but summer isn't technically over so I'm still getting slammed. But if you have any questions post them on any video and I'll answer as many as I can. plus I'm sure whatever questions you have others do as well but they just don't get around to asking. As far as training, I can't personally train anyone now. just too much going on with heavy workload, school just started etc.

How much costs in materials and paint do you have per tub or countertop?
@thetubguy229311 ай бұрын
There's more to consider like insurance. My monthly insurance divided by 30, gas also divided by 30, Materials and paint comes to about $100-$150

@@thetubguy2293How much do you reduce the resin? I put 2 parts lacquer thinner and get pretty good results. Otherwise it'll shoot spider webs if I use less.
