I love that you're not afraid to show mistakes, experiment, and show what works for you on your channel. It's encouraging for those of us who are just starting out with projects.

For any large indentations or grooves you can probably just use a wood filler. Once it's filled sand it down and Paint it.👍

The piece turned out absolutely beautiful I love the handle that you have chose to this piece the only thing that I use is Rustoleum chalk paint and I have a spritzer bottle of water I just lightly Spritz your brush and the piece you're working on it helps to prevent brush Strokes Ingles on smooth you did a great job thank you for sharing our Rustoleum chalk paint starts at $33 that's a big difference you're lucky that you can get it at such a low price

Nice job. I've just started buying and flipping furniture. Instead of buying chalk paint, you can save a lot of money by making your own using calcium carbonate. Lots of recipes on line. I also agree that the music is very distracting. Just use it when you're not talking.

Very helpful to me as I am currently deciding what to do with two antique chest of drawers. One is tiger oak so I'm going to refinish that one in honey oak. The other has very delicate inlays that I will keep and then do the Linen White and the Grey. Love the look.

@jamiesale94605 жыл бұрын
good, skilled production video - smart to speed up the repetitive parts to hold interest. Nice result too. Ever tried Rustoleum or Krylon sprays? They can still be stressed and you'll save time - however - I do like this one. Hope you got your price.

If you're going to go through the effort of repainting a piece I would have definitely done the inside drawers and bottom cabinets. This piece looks nice from the outside. But, when you opened the drawers and cabinets at the end of this video it looked unfinished. It's the small details you put in that makes a piece of furniture special.

If you think the brush handle is big then cut the handle, sand it so you won't get hurt and work the way you like .... adapt your tools to your way of working

That looks really good. Such a big difference than before. Stumbled on your 150.00 kitchen video which was great too. You have a great instructional voice as weird as that might sound haha. Keep up the good work!

How do you paint so that the paint comes out even with dripping?
@leighsutherland62225 жыл бұрын
I recently painted my kitchen furniture, and read in the Poly directions one should not overlap or go over the poly when applying. You are supposed to apply in one direction. It was difficult for me to do this, as it is not how paint is usually applied. I wonder if it actually makes a difference.
@benicio19674 жыл бұрын
It turned out so nice. Did you gloss only the shelves or did you gloss or did you gloss the back of the inside too? You don’t have to sand if you’re just painting do you? I never do distressed. I love a pristine look. You did a great job! Really Beautiful!

Personally, I would paint inside and out. When you're selling upcycled furniture your furniture eventually becomes recognizable based on your artistic style- it's your brand. I say show that you care and paint the inside and out. I’m shocked that an unfinished piece as this is would be sold for $300. Overpriced in my opinion.
@ericwycoff13993 жыл бұрын
Typically you don't paint every square inch, the accent of natural wood looks quite nice you never paint the inside of them lol. She also took the time to apply water based poly on it so I would say $300 is a very good price for the time she spent putting love into this!

Somebody please teach this poor girl how to use a paint gun. I redo furniture and at this rate, you're making minimum wage and killing your back in tight spaces.
@97dsm20125 жыл бұрын
@Calla Mett all I meant was the idea needs to at least be brought to light for her by somebody. Shes probably making less than minimum wage for her hard work if it's something shes trying to do on the side for money. If she can do it twice as fast she doubles her hourly rate for herself.
