Woahhhh! We have the exact same hair texture/curl pattern. I do most of these steps too..damping my hair in the morning slightly with water does the trick for sure that was a good tip..I sometimes use curl activator on damp hair then add gel. I don't like the feeling of gel in my hair so sometimes I just stick to curl cream and curl restorer to keep it simple. Thanks for the videoooo!!!

Hey girl! I’ve decided to embrace my curls and I came across your page and it’s been really helpful! I have a few questions on stages I’m still not sure on. 1. I have very greasy hair. Between wash/refresh days, how should I combat that? 2. How often are your wash days and refresh days? 3. Are there any steps you take daily to maintain your curls or is this only on refresh days?
@Sarah-ru4tz4 жыл бұрын
hey im not hannah but maybe i can answer some of your questions:) 1. if you're on the curly girl method, it's normal to have greasy hair in the first months. you can put it in a bun or use cg approved dry shampoo. you can also use lowpoo if cowashing isnt for you 2. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week when i feel like it's needed (if it's greasy or too much product in the hair) some people don't even refresh if they feel like their curls look good. it's up to you. 3. to maintain your curls between your washdays you can use this method. (there are plenty other methods, it's about finding out what works for your hair)

@@hanzcurls if you have a time you dont have to be anywhere and are experimenting with hair stuff try using the aloe vera juice to refresh...i swear it changed my life lol, i dont have to soak that area and strand when i go back and do specific areas its just like spraying a moisturizer onto it but its also light and doesnt add a bunch of weight when it dries. Plus aloe vera juice is super cheap, you can get like a giant jug of it at walmart (sometimes in food sections but i found it with the laxatives in pharmacy, its bc ppl can also drink it for a natural way to clean out but its by no means its only use lol) i want to say for like $5 or $8 and the jug lasts FOREVER seriously like a year i think or more is how long 1 jug lasted me.

Thank you so much for this very helpful video. I'm a mom, student and working part-time so I really don't have time to refresh and my hair looks awful and frizzy 1 or 2 days after wash day. Hi! I am also a mom, student, and working part-time gal! I actually do exactly what you are talking about, and my hair comes out okay. I have like 2b/2c/3a curls and some of them do get a little squished and it's probably not as curly as it could be on refresh days but I dont mind a messy, imperfect kind of look. My hair is also to my butt and it never fully dries in the cap thing I use so that also helps I think.

I wish I could finger coil! My hair just gets stuck and caught on my finger instead of sliding down nicely like you and all the other pretty KZbin Curly Girls. Do you have tips on this or are only some people able to do it?
@ChlorineHeart4 жыл бұрын
You may not have enough product in your hair, your hair has to be pretty wet in my experience. I have this issue but it is much easier now that I use more product. I also alternate between using my middle and pointer finger when finger coiling which keeps on finger from getting too caught
@rachellep25813 жыл бұрын
If your hair is heat damaged allot, finger coiling can be super hard. In my opinion your curls are already confused with thier new curl life. Like the person mentioned before, I think having allot of product helps. However in my experience my heat damaged curls had almost no curl pattern and didnt like to be overly manipulated. So I gave fingercoiling a break and 6 months into my CGM journey my hair loves to be finger coiled and hugs my finger everytime. Though finger coiling in the first 3 months, only gave me straight or kinked pieces.
