I have just come to the realization that I might have wavy or curly hair... I'm 32 and I've just been caring for my hair as if it's straight. I have fine hair, but with super high density (I have enough hair for like 3 people) I just noticed that my hair, when I let it air dry curls slightly. And that it's poofy when I blow dry it and brush it. So IDK, it gets mostly straight when brushed and blow dryed but it's dry and poofy...

I love that you made a list of both what to ask for with a curly hairdresser, and a regular one!! SO HELPFUL!! Thank you!!♡ (Also, my sister has similar colored hair as you! It’s kinda overwhelming you are right so many products out there , My hair is chemical damaged I have highlights so I need products that will also treat and help with that! I’ve always thought that I had a coarse or thick hair type but I did the thing you said with putting it between my fingers and now I think it might be fine and I just have a lot of it. That would explain why most of the curly hair products I’ve tried have weighed my hair down and made it feel greasy.

This is soooo helpful! I think that we have pretty similar hair type and density and I'm a ginger as well! I'm so excited to commit to taking care of my curls and I just put in a massive amazon order for a bunch of goodies and accessories to get me started! Can you do a video dedicated to how you refresh your hair? I see everyone talk about refreshing all the time but I think it would be helpful to see a more in depth how-to style about refreshing on day 2-3, etc. I love your energy and passion for hair and can't wait to see what other videos you come out with!❤️

I had really nice curls as a kid, probably a 3A but around the age 4-5 they slowly fell out and my hair got super straight. But about a year ago I noticed after I’d shower and my hair would dry it was VERY wavy. And then when I’d brush it out it get super frizzy and it looked awful :,) So I know I have curls and I really hope this can help me get them back!

How often do you wash your hair?
@kylagladstone9737
@kylagladstone9737 3 жыл бұрын
PLEASE HELP! Just starting my journey and have a burning question. I am a very active person and hit the gym everyday. When I workout, I sweat through my whole head. Like it literally looks like I got out of the shower when I'm done. This means that I have to wash my hair after every workout. Do you need to style your hair every time you wash it? Does the gel add to your hairs health? Or is it just for aesthetics? If its just for aesthetics, should I just skip this last step until I am going somewhere? Typically I'm just going to the gym and throwing my hair in a ponytail anyways.
@cathje832

What you could do is just rinse your hair with water after you worked out. Then you just put some curl cream in your hair. You can plop/diffuse. I only use curl cream and gel after washing (shampoo). Gel is to define your curls but there are gels that do more for your hair. I use a flaxseed curl gel from Aunt Jackie's. It's really nourishing. You don't have to use gel. And if you do use it you don't have to use a lot. Especially when you have fine hair like me. I just use a little to scrunch in my damp curls after i used a curl cream.

Well I guess I know mine is fine and medium-high density if every hair stylist I’ve ever been to says without fail “your hair is fine but you have a lot of it”? The porosity is something I’ve never heard of… but it makes total sense. Thank you for not charging $325 for this. I’m sure the money is worth it but it’s not in the cards for anyone. ❤
