My NX8 S/N is not in the menu selection of this video. In fact my SN is apparently longer that the number of characters available in the web site registration page. I have always used JR and Futaba radios. NOT IMPRESSED WITH SPEKTRUM when I have to search through videos and the web to get the product registered. Still not resolved. tried to export, the function fails to save. wow what a cluster.

So I downloaded update for my DX-6e to a SD card and insert in my radio turn it on and no loading bar. Just displayed the plane model last selected. So went to System Setup , then Transfer SD card, .It says "Status: Ready ", I go to options,, select"Update Firmware" click and it goes to a screen that only says. Click that and goes right back to prior screen. When I scroll down to "Folder: / " to try and type in 'SPMTX.SAX" goes to "Back" again , What am I doing wrong? I wish just once my radio, receiver, plane or whatever I'm working on would actually do the same things as these tutorials.

One problem I ran into was everytime it downloaded onto the computer it put a number after the file. to remedy this, I had to go onto my downloads in my computer and delete all of the files that I had downloaded previously with the SPXTX sax or similar files and then it worked flawlessly. Awesome Video no better feeling of accomplishment than winning against the computer and getting the upgrade to work.🎉🎉🎉

So I've just bought my 6th Eflite plane in 14 months, the Night Timber X. Great plane. I bought a used DX9 black edition from local hobby shop back when I got my 1st plane in May/June 2019. I have smart batteries and charger but I can't get any cool telemetry features because I'm trying to register my DX9 but comes up as registered to previous owner. I've emailed horizon and Spektrum on the registration contact us page but am getting zero replies. Can somebody help please as spending all this money for telemetry and other smart features is a waste as I can't register and up date my DX9

Here's a tip: If you get a (DX6) SD card error message that SD can't be read, re-FORMAT and use FAT32.

Good luck finding a SD card that works with the dx8e.. ive tried numerous SD cards and none work.. so no matter what I do I cannot update my transmitter.. so thanks spektrum. You just had me waste 700$ on a controller that I cannot update.. I thought there would be a hookup for the USB cable but nope.. guess I'm screwed and stuck with a brand new dx8e that isn't updated and should of came updated .. ughhhh

I have lost a lot of Time trying to open a count, and then register m'y transmiter... I could not succeed ... My transmiter was already registered, yes I bought it as second hand. It is not forbbiden !!? . Then I try to register my reciever... But where is the serial number...?? I probably need to buy the connection câble...!!? Very good for spektrum market. I bought a DX6e, almost two years ago, my 1st radio. I have found it easy to use, though I do refer to the manual often. The only problem I recently found was assigning “Safe” to a switch. The Eflite Pitts S-1S is the first model I have owned with AS3x, it happily binds with Safe active, (the control surfaces jiggle twice). I notice the throttle stick doesn’t move down all the way, would this interfere with the assigning process?

Hello, my spektrum dx6 stopped binding, I tried pointing the antenna towards receiver and tried from 10 feet’s and tried with 3 different receivers. It saying binding and the says binding failed any recommendation anybody? Thanks in advance

I have tried registering my DX6 and it will not work. I filled out all the information at least 10 times and it just keeps telling me I have to fill out all the fields but it doesn't tell me what Im doing wrong. I filled out everything and triple check all info and still nothing. Ive registered at 50 different sites before and never had an issue like this.

The registering web site has been a bear to deal with. Spent over 2 hours and still not registered.At one point when I was not recognized I asked for a new password option. I was given the login and password. When I entered that information the error message came beck saying my information was not recognized. The info I entered was exactly what the Spektrum web site had provided me. WTF? What ever happened to a warranty post care that could be filled out in 3 minutes? The video was helpful but it seemed like the website was having trouble.

Its not possible to register products on spectrums broken website, it fails every time. can't find the serial number or numerous other meaningless errors all ending in failure. So it isn't possible to update the firmware.... Sounds like all empty marketing promises to me.

For all you about to throw your transmitter through a 3rd story window... hold on for a sec. First of all, the sd card you use is IMPORTANT!! Do not use Class 10's!!!! Most on the shelf are class 10. I found a 16gb Class 4 SD Card at Walgreens in the photo department for $19.99 I've heard of people having all kinds of problems with the newer SD cards over CLASS 6. Next, I downloaded the sax file i needed for my DX8 from Spektrum after the online registration process. I uploaded it to the SD card, put it in the transmitter, and it froze! Went into Update Mode, but the progress bar didn't do anything. It sat like that for 20 minutes without doing anything, so I finally unplugged the transmitter battery and pulled out the sd card. Turned it back on, and all it would do was flash on and off. I re-downloaded the sax file 4 times, uploaded all of them to my SD card. Finally worked. Thanks Spektrum. You suck a giant box of lollipops.

I have the DX9 with an older Airware version than latest version on the Spektrum website with my registered radio. Does the latest Airware version (2.09) include the previous versions? Will it cause any issues skipping previous versions to the newest version 2.09?

It will not cause any issues. If there is a previous update required it will be mentioned in the updates overview.

Hello, I hope that your still with HH after all this time and can get a chance to read this. I own a DX8G2 and it's still running version 2.00. It has been registered. I know that there's 3 updates available for it. I'm going to use a Sandisk 8GB, class 4, sd card. Will this work correctly for the downloads?? It has the Serial# exported to it. Also, can I download/upload all 3 updates at once?? I'm a computer novice but intelligent. This was all prompted by the fact that I purchased a AR631 and understood that forward programming was available for the DX8G2. Your help with this would be appreciated, thanks.

Hi Airhammer! That Sd card should work well. Just put the latest version on the SD card to update. No need to do these in succession unless the update info explicitly says so.

You may need to have the original owner login in and deregister if you are having issues. You can also send the serial number to us in a email and we can look into it. Hope that helps!

I bought my DX18 used and can't register it unless the previous owner deregisters it? I don't know if he would be willing to do so or if he would know how. Hi, if you purchased the US version it supports DSM2 out of the box. If yours is a EU version, DSM2 is not a option for it, and can not be due to EU regulations. Hope that helps!

It is not really a software feature, but more hardware. So if you have EU Hardware, you will only have DSMX, no firmware update or downgrade will be able to turn DSM2 on.

Hi Antoine :) yes I am still here. It will work fine without an update BUT for the best experience and to be able to use the latest tech, you will want to keep it up to date.

Sounds like you have '1 time' start active. Change that to inhibit. Hope that helps!

Give it a few minutes. if it does not complete, turn off, reformat the sd card, redownload the update and try again. Hope that helps!

Why would you ever register DX6? It's not changing any more folks. It's all a scam, has been for years. The fact that they engineered a reminder page to be in your face every time you try to turn to controller off shows me simple arrogance on their part! Not everyone has a laptop or even a computer online (if you have a phone). It's all just more data collection folks.
