My gf asked me how to do hers and I have her a little grief for buying this brand, instead of a Stihl or Husky, I am going to her house to try to do hers this afternoon. Hers is battery operated, so everything I was finding were NOT like this, but hers seems to be like the gas one you have here. This looks super easy and better than my Husky!! Lol Glad you took the time to make this video brother!

I have to say thanks! I did have my original instructions, and they were very unhelpful. I could not get the spool reassembled. I came across this video, and it was together in five minutes. I wasted an hour before that. The original instructions actually say not to unassemble the head but instead fish the line through the assembled head with the nob set to the load position and then wind it up. I wish it was that easy, but it got stuck, and I had to unassemble it anyway.

For being a cheaper made trimmer we’ve had pretty good luck so far. When we take them out to my boss’s house they it takes about two full tanks in each one to do all the trimming. That’s only stopping long enough to fill the tank up. Second season on them. Pretty sure one is about ready for a new plug though. Thanks for watching.

On one of ours had an issue with the spring that kept it from letting the string spool out. Possible the spool head itself is bad. I would just go back through the loading process and double check the way it’s loaded just to make sure it’s correct. If it looks good and you’re still having the same problem you can get a replacement head at Walmart but you might find it cheaper online. Hope that helps.

I have to agree it seems like a cheaply built trimmer. I used it a couple times last year at home and once at a friends house that has yard that takes about 45 min worth of trimmer work. I ran it pretty hard at his house just to see the outcome. It held up. Biggest downer for me is the trimmer head design and the 2 piece shaft design. Seems to be ok for small yards. Running wise it didn’t miss a beat. One of Walmarts finest I guess. It’s definitely not worth regular price.
