you should have sealed diverted flaps the ones with the big holes ..do you remember any foam blowing in your face for months Pryor to. your core failure....now you will only get about 5% heat coming into the cabin...that's a common problem with vw watercooled

This looks exactly the same as the one on my T4. So do you need to cover the flaps with foam?
@ledmk28 жыл бұрын
I glue (glue for high temp) plastic plates on the flaps and it work perfect

JVC Official Hello. Did you replace without removing dash?
@1frictionman7 жыл бұрын
Good video. Thanks. At 18 second mark I see the vents below the heat controls are removed. At 2:10 - 2;20 I clearly see that the vents were sawed out. Is this necessary or was it just to make the video easier to shoot? Can I do this without removing these vents?
@ledmk27 жыл бұрын
Yes it can removed without cutting dashboard, I removed there because of my console

So you can remove the heater box separately from the AC box? And you can remove it without taking off the dash? I need to replace my 1986 MK2 Jetta heater core and put foam and foil over the heater flaps.

Yes

@@ledmk2Are there 2 more clips hiding behind the firewall to disconnect the heater box from the ac portion? 3 up front and 2 hiding behind the firewall where you can’t see.

must all panels/valves holes be closed ? or only at the front metal plate? müssen alle löcher an allen klappen geschlossen werden ? oder nur die, mit den drei löcher ?
