HOW TO REMOVE A 2003 - 2006 CHEVY GMC SILVERADO SIERRA TAHOE SUBURBAN FRONT DOOR PANEL WINDOW SWITCH

Good video on how I remove these window switches from the gm truck, and suvs. I show how to do it with out breaking the screw holder on the bottom side. I usually have these in stock. check link to my store below. It will be same process for the drivers, and passengers side. I appreciate your video. Helped tremendously. I thought I needed a new bezel for my lock and window controls because, I thought the bezel was broke but turns out it was the armrest that was broke inside which actually holds the end of the bezel that's not screwed.

Yea, I broke that front tab off trying to remove the switch bezel without taking the whole interior door cover off. It was a bear trying to find a replacement switch bezel since they are out of production. I learned the hard way. Even his way of replacing the switch bezel is not easy. At least for me it was not.

Great info! Unfortunately, someone got to taking out the driver's side switch panel on my 2003 Chevy Avalanche before I got to it. The post on the switch holder wasn't only snapped off but the cap-screw was so over-tightened that it split. My driver's side window switch doesn't roll the window down any longer. I wondering if it is repairable?

Hello, do you know what size the screw is that is on the underside of the window switch? Is it a 7mm? When I bought my truck both the driver and passenger window controls had already been broken and the screws were missing.

Yes it is a 7mm for sure. I use it all the time to remove these.

I have heard that certain switches have to be programmed at the dealer. I think it has something to do with power mirrors. I could be wrong, but its possible.

So if that unit that holds the switches this is flopping in and out of my door does that mean that little screw fell out and chances are I’ll have to take my door apart to put a new one in?

Took the door apart, white assembly holds switch via two screws. It was snapped off and I could not replace it as I couldn’t find the part….so epoxy it is.

If you remove the armrest, the switch part comes off as one unit. Just figured it out.

First of all , why did you cut all the wire harnesses if they all have clip on ends to the terminals ? How many people are you coaxing into cutting all the wires like you did? And then have to spend hundreds on new wiring harnesses? The harnesses I’ve had to buy in the past were very expensive and more than hard enough to replace! I hope that your viewers reconsider cutting all the wires, like you did! Especially when the wiring harness clips are easy to unclip!

For those of you who may be having a hard time pulling the connector with the gray strap off the module, here's how. The connector in question has a gray strap around the black connector body. There is a tiny tab behind the strap on the black connector body that prevents the strap from moving. Hold it down with a small screwdriver or pick and then pivot the strap over the tab and all the way back.

Thank you, I'm having problems with my passenger door, when I slam close something disconnects and remote or driver side don't communicate with right side unless I slam door so it disconnects or connects back so nothing comes loose.
