THIS IS the best video I've seen. I'm 75 and DETEST all the different connector latches, especially such as down on the transmission in the mud / oil/ junk and you cannot SEE them to figure out how to release them. THANKS again!!!

than yours isnt a gmt800. you prolly got some else. but i dont like how his nut is all worn n nasty by the hamdle. like uhm this is an american truck its gunna be metric and it should be 7mm. not a 9/32nds like what tf mine aint worn out and i always used 7mm on these

Instead of removing the wire from the light socket in the door panel. I twisted the whole socket and removed the whole assembly. It was easier than unclipping that wire.

You might want to mention that with that last large connector with the swing arms, there is a little button behind the top that holds it in place. That is... when it's all in one piece and not broken like yours. Because I didn't know about it, I forced mine and now it's broken too. 😢

You do know that light on the left corner instead of unhooking the connector you could just turn it and take the bulb out with that and it’s way easier and faster. Also instead of the little cubby compartment coming off you could pry on the right side of the housing for light and pull to right and that is also easier and faster too.

Between him, and my neighbor, who is also a retired LEO, and who knows how to fix pretty much anything, collectively we have probably every tool 😄

I watched your & another video. When removing the window/lock/mirror switch assy, there is a clip on the rear, bit a screw holding it in on the front. That the door panel needs to be removed first.

Funny, I was replacing mirrors on one today and a nut fell into the door because of the way it was designed and halfway through I realized it would be cheaper to go buy a new nut for the mirror than to take off the panel and potentially break it because it’s old and brittle

Yes, there’s a screw on the bottom, then you have to push and finagle it out

I already got it printed out and it looks like it should work great, also i was trying to figure out how to go about putting the snake on, like if i should carve it and then paint it or burn it but i think im just going to stain the background black and then carve out the snake
