How To Remove A 2019 - 2022 Toyota Corolla Spare Tire - Jack Removal Location - Change Flat Tire

A quick video tutorial on how to remove the spare tire, jack and lug nut wrench from a 2019 - 2022 Toyota Corolla.
Where is the spare tire located on a 2019 - 2022 Toyota Corolla?
The spare tire is located in the trunk of the Corolla. You will first need to remove the trunk deck mat in order to gain access to the jack, lug nut wrench and spare tire.
The Toyota Corolla owners manual contains the following information on the removal of the spare tire, jack and tools you will need to change a flat tire:
TAKING OUT THE JACK:
1. Remove the deck mat.
2. Take out the jack.
TAKING OUT THE SPARE TIRE:
1. Remove the deck mat.
2. Remove the tool tray.
3. Loosen the center fastener that secures the spare tire.

Mine too the plastic piece just spins around the nut ,cuz it's so rusted....

Just unscrew the tire lock/cap so you can remove the tire

Thank you for this. However, my 2021 Toyota Carolla Hybrid came without a spare. Brutal thing to discover on a Saturday night. It was costly & stressful. Could have been much worse if my car parts had been stripped. Had to have the car towed all the way home & then deal with the flat tire over 3 days. Frustrating considering this was my 4th Toyota. I will NEVER buy from Toyota again.

Yeah unfortunately many new vehicles are being sold with the spare tire as an option instead of being standard

That’s your own fault for not making sure you just the proper equipment and preparations in case of any issues. It’s not Toyotas responsibility to babysit & hold your hand throughout life. Would you like them to come and do maintenance on your home as well? Or how about they provide you with counseling and therapy?
