I’m on my third M620 in a year, these motors are noisy, the controllers are fragile and the replacement cost is around 1000$. So far I’ve only been able to get 2000 miles out of one of these “ premium “ drives, so beware if you’re considering a bike equipped with one of these so called great drivetrains. Once you can’t stand the noise they make after 500 miles, and I mean big gear noise, you can find videos on KZbin that instruct you on how to open and grease the three main gears. The videos are well done and simple to follow and I truly believe that doing this will extend the life of these very expensive motors. Having said all that…… they are powerful, have amazing torque and make hub drive motors look useless. Beware of any bike purchased online, local bike shops really don’t want to service these motors and dealing with all these new companies can be challenging to say the least. Good luck, I love my fat tire Ebike but they come with frustrations and challenges that regular bikes simply don’t have!

great video but think a step is missing. how do you remove spider and bottom bracket?

100% a critical step and completely glossed over. Currently preventing me from regreasing the motor as the socket I bought doesn't have the depth to mesh with the lockring over the crank arm axle.

Why was this step skipped? I really need to get the cover off so I can clean and regrease the motor but the star shaped part that holds on the rings etc is still there. Not sure what I need for a tool now to get the large ring type nut off to continue. This sucks...

Very helpful video. Personally, I'd prefer with no music (or super quiet and super slow and gentle) because I'm trying to concentrate and I find it distracting.

The Ultra motor inherently has higher running noise because of the all-metal gears. We like the noise though

@@Biktrix I also like metal more than plastic. Glad it is metal. I have a BIONIX with NO GEARS and it is real quiet.

Hi guys, I'm trying to install my new g510 but for a reason I don't understand it does not fit properly as my previous one, I am not able to line up the holes , has this ever happened to you? Is there another version of the g510? All wires are placed correctly and no matter how hard i push the motor does not fit properly inside the housing. My bike has the same body frame of the juggernaut ultra beast.

How much torque is needed for tightening the three 13mm nuts on the bike frame? and how much torque for other smaller bolts?!

Good timing as I will be installing motor on Jug Ultra soon. Question: The battery cables (red, black wires) connect down tube to a connector which allows battery power connection to the motor. My question is does this connector lie on top of the motor inside the motor housing of the bike OR should the cables be long enough so that the connector is folded with the rest of the wired connections accessible behind the motor plastic cover? On my Jug Ultra this connection and connector was on top of the motor and could only be reached and tested with a multimeter after removing the motor. This is a bad situation for ease of general maintenance as well as increasing the probability of this connection and connector becoming loose or damaged with the tight fitting of the motor with the bike motor housing.

For the most part, the power connector lays flat on top of the motor. You may be able to extend this wire yourself and have it on the side with the other connectors. In the thousands of Ultra motors we have installed and worked on, the power connector hasn't been damaged from installation. It would be more of a convenience thing

At 1:16 on the video, the arm that holds the chain ring and chain guards is visible. At 1:23 on the video, that part vanishes with no information about how it's been removed. On my bike, it doesn't look like it comes off with the pedal arm. How is that piece removed?

You can use size 5mm Allen key to unbolt the chainring from the chainring spider..

Oh wait, but mid drive motors support throttle? That's awesome. The specs of this motor are way above the rear ones, that suffer when climbing slopes, and don't even allow to increase the voltage.
