You will need to pay attention to this video if you buy any bike with this noisy beast of a motor. Three of the four I’ve put on my RX have been defective and noisy, and I’m not talking slightly noisy, these things are LOUD! This company say they are working with the manufacturer, whatever, just turned 1000 kms on my fourth motor ( this replacement was my own fault, full disclosure) and it’s just as loud as the three previous versions. These motors are also considered throw away parts, so when your controller goes south, ( and two of mine have) 0:02 that’s it for the motor, after warranty they’ll sell you one for 1200$, something to consider when purchasing any mid drive bike this this expensive, LOUD motor…. Did I mention the f###in thing is LOUD! 11,000 kms on my bike, three defective motors, all facts, neighbour has a RX, two motors for him….. Bafang needs to get their collective crap together and address this issue.

Extremely dissapointing. I am on my second motor, and hoping it will last more than 1 year like the last one. Arg.
